  1. Check and see that you didnt pinch some wires near the stem while you were doing your turns. Specifically the kill switch wires.
  2. I actually enjoy watching these guys like Lampkin and his dad work together. I am not that good but when you see the minder yelling to have the tire moved less than a half tire it makes you realize just how precision trials actually is. I am happy when I can keep the bike within the boundaries of the section. What I want to know(sorry a little OT)... ...what is in that drink bottle that most minders carry and yet never drink from. I watched the world round in the US and I saw more than 1 minder shaking up there drink bottle vigorously and then spray the liquid on the rocks. The 1st time I saw it I thought nothing of it but then when I saw the next 4 world riders through the section spray the same rock in the same place after shaking up the bottle I got a little suspicious.

    Disc Guard

No worries.....Just unthread it and put the guard on. No oil will come out.
  4. Yes...and from a friend who was in attendance it was an amazing display.
  5. Does Radycool have a website?
  6. Its normal...Its a floating disc. You may also feel a "hitch" in your front suspension. Thats also due to the floating disc.
  7. Copemech....Nice article, thanks for posting it!
  8. The tough thing I found was to find a really honest unbiased opinion. Everyone has there favorites and when I asked people it was like I was talking to a salesman. Your absolutely correct....riding a bike around a parking lot is not going to tell you anything other than initial ergos.
  9. Floored I know what you are saying....each brand indeed does have its own trailts. I am not the author and its not from this site, but the below article is a pretty accurate summary of each brand. Coming from enduros myself I can totall understand the comment made by Neo about there being no room for sub standard machines. Unlike conventioanl style bike manufacturers there really is NO modern day trials manufacturer that is putting out a product that is anything less than exceptional in build quality and performance. My decision on choosing a Sherco was based on the info below and from fellow riders. I find it be quite accurate. Scorpa: Rode the
  10. The way I do it with great success is to take some Windex and spray it liberally on the fender, then I spray some more and apply the decal on the wet fender. It will give you plenty of time to adjust as needed. Then I work the fluid out with my hands. It helps to warm the decal up prior to application. Just warm it so its pliable...not melted ...Oh and prior to application use Iso Alcohol(rubbing) or denatured alcohol to clean the area prior to application of windex. They do make decal pre application fluid, which I have used but windex works the same.

    De Carbon

Skid...with the work it takes to get the head off your a 1/3rd of the way there to doing a complete top end. Yeah it will cost you some money but having a nice fresh bike sounds nice too doesnt it. As far as removing carbon...the only way I know how to do it is using a O/A gas torch, and the only time I did this was on a pipe. I dont know if the high heat would warp the head, something tells me it might.
  12. I also am getting one for my son. A friend has the 16 for his 6 year old and had nothing but great things to say about it. He got it for Christmas and has ridden it everyday since then. Rides it in a noise sensitive area with no problems. Also said the adjustable speed controller works fantastic. Battery last about 4 hrs play riding and recharges in about 6. He got an extra battery for only $30. Its a great thing for Trials IMO!
  13. I am a firefighter from Massachusetts USA. I have been for almost 12 years now. Just curious if theres any others out there on TC?
  14. Nicely Done....I wish I could do that stuff. Your talented!

    Beta Carburetors

Keep in mind Skid a little bike like the Beta 200 will be much more sensitive to jetting needs than a bigger bike like the 280. The weather could have played a part. As far as the carberation...well I am too new to trials to make an educated cooment, but I do know the Betas are a nice machine.
  16. Can you link it please? I searched and cant find it....
  17. It worked fine for me...Its pretty cool...It makes you fall asleep after trying time after time to get it to do something. I'm missing sumptin also.
  18. This is a dirtbike website based out of New England stateside. I just opened up an observed trials forum there. New England Dirtbikes
  19. That is a great looking bike....
  20. Does anyone have any experience or opinion on the Alpine Stars "No Stop" Trial Boots? I have done a forum search and did not find much info. Much Appreciated.....
  21. A little follow up to this. After a few attempts at registering the bike I was unsucessful because I kept getting a combination of 3 characters off for the vin. The registration would not go through. This made me nervous about the bike because without proper registration I would not legally be able to ride the Sherco in the areas that I frequently ride. Upon a suggestion from rtclick I contacted Sherco USA and told them my problem. I talked with Mike there and he took some info from me and within 15 minutes he had called me back with accurate info.....I now sit with a legally registered bike in my garage. Great customer service from RYP.
  22. The registration I am looking for is just for offroad use. I am not looking for insurance. I cant help you with you dilemma...Sorry
