  1. its more likey to be the auto decompresser that you can hear clicking... the valve gaps that you gave are within torrerance... They all sound a bit agriculture compared to a honda montesta... enjoy as they are a nice bike...
  2. jordi right in what hes say about gryoscopic effect in the engine....because the 250 uses heavy cranks and flywheel weight it has more gryoscopic weight than a 125... Still think the 225 with heavy flywheel weight is the best gasser going...

I've had good results with a hot air gun to soften the gule and a little bit of tinners on a rag with lots of elbow grease.

Thanks for the sugestions... Might try the inner tube idear as i have a few around. Not got a freezer big enough to fit it in. Will also give Kev @ gas gas uk a call as this is where i got the pipe from. One thing i did find on sunday when rideing the bike with the dented pipe was how it soften the power. Heres a couple of photos....

Ok i bought and fitted a nice new S3 ti front pipe for the sherco 4t. (Very bling) Bike was set up and running very well. But sundays trial came and i manage to dent it even before the first section.. (Gutted).. So now i'm looking for idears to remove the dent or a person that could do it for me.. I'll get some photos up later today so you can see the damage.
  7. What did you not like about sherco 320 ???? I've not had a ride on a scorpa so can't comment, but the evo 300 was a nice bike to ride if a little lacking in power compared to the 320 sherco.. The rev4 250 was a very soft bike to ride with good useable power..

I'll think your find all the bikes from 2006 on have.. Right leg is for rebound and left leg is for compresion..As you said above..

I ran a 225cc and had a love hate with it.. You need to be a good rider to get the most from the power they offer as they rev too the moon..
  11. New hubs aren't that dear,,,about
  12. i looked into this with the 225 and from what kev hippwell told me,,,it works out the same as 9 x 48 for the 125cc and 9x42 for the 225cc... I think for the 125cc it would be worth it as there is less drag and this would give a little more help with stalling the bike at low revs.. It will also pickup quicker from a stand still.. I never went with it on the 225 as there was a load of prower from the motor away.. Good luck with it...

I've done both. first on a 05 pro which i rebuilt myself and second on a 07 pro which i had my local dealer do.... Mains and seals was not a big job, and i found with a little help from here not a bad job. Cost wise with all the parts ran at about

Ok i would like to fit a after market kill switch and remove the front light and handle bar lighting switch. What wires do i connect to ???? Also i would like to take the mapping switch off. If i unplug the wires what map would this leave me with ???? The bike is a 08 320 4t
  17. The gas gas pro engine runs the main bearing in gearbox oil, so the two stroke oil is only oiling the big end and small end and piston.... I've all ways use 50ml of castrol TTS to five liter of petrol and have never had any problems. This was on a 225cc gas gas pro which liked to rev hard.
  18. Nice truck......what is it ???? bike looks good too..
  19. If it can be rebuilt, then you want to get in touch with Keith turner @ Race Spec. Visit My Website Hes done lots of work for me over the years and is very good....
  20. Has anyone taken the auto decompresser off there 08 320 4t....???? Now i lernt to start the bike i can't rellay see a lot of point in have it on the bike and it makes a lot of noise.... I've got a top end gasket set and i'll be checking the sims soon, so if the decompresser is not needed and easly removed with know ill efects then i will remove... Cheers mike

Yes it wiil fit.....you might need the spacer's from your gas gas wheel.... They also fit a sherco.....
  22. Is it useing gearbox oil ???? If so could be a crank seal on the way out.... Check under the flywheel for any oil comming though the seal.... Give the bike a good blast and smell tail pipe for a burnt gearbox oil smell. Cheak petrol tank is venting.... Clean carb again and make sure pilot jet is spotless.
