  1. I have just upgraded my 07 125cc pro racing with a new 200cc barrel, piston and head. (Was going down the 225cc road, but the cost was to much) The bike now has all the power that I was looking for and is very forgiving to ride. Not done a trial on it yet, but got a days riding tomorrow to try it out to its full. Never underestimate the smaller engine bikes out there as they are a lot easier to ride And a lot less tiring than the bigger ones. As for a Beta or a Gas GAS that up to you. I like the Gas Gas as they ride light and are easier to move around than the Betas, but as Jon said above you do need to look after them a little more.
  2. nice bike you have there Kot, can you give us a run down of what been done and some more photos. Cheers Mike
  3. Thanks Jon, have you got a part number for the tool. If there not to dear would quite like one for tool box.
  4. If you found the 250cc rev 3 to much, then you be better looking for a 200cc or even a 125cc. Don't over bike yourself...
  5. I've used one from a BMX with the smaller wheels with good results. Top tip is to put a inner tube in the tyre and blow it up and leave for a few days before you fit the tyre to the rim. This will hold out the beeds and make life a lot easyer when you come to fit the tyre.
  6. You want to unbolt handle bars and the three pinch bolts on the top clamp. then undo the middle top nut so you ca get the top clamp off. Then the speedo will come off. I found a washer the same thickness as the speedo brakett and then bolted in all back together. The wire for the kill swicth is the yellow and black wire comeing from the CDI box and a earth wire to the back off the coil. gas gas wires Did your speedo work ? was it in miles per hour or KPH??? Good luck, its not a hard job to do and worth it....
  7. I'd be intrested in one of those or even a photo so i could make up my own. Anyone got one..???
  8. I had trouble with mine when I did my mains. I over came it with two small tyre levers and used them to leaver the gear up gently after removing the cir clip. Just be very careful not to mark the crank case where the gasket goes .
  9. I've been looking at getting one of these, but didn't like the idear of cutting up my 07 standard pipe to fit it. Are they just held in place by rivets ??? I've heard an 08 raga with one fitted and it sounded very sweet.
  10. You did well mate. well done. link
  11. You have to buy a 03-06 air box. there about 80 quid from lampkins Well worth doing on a early beta, as they are a better design and keep most of the water mud out.
  12. I believe that the stiffness in you clutch is down to a low finger height on the clutch pettals . I had the same on my 05 pro when I fitted new plates and the stack height was down to 16.5 mm. I over came this by putting a thinner pressure plate in and this raised the stack height to 18.5mm, which gave me a very soft on the finger clutch. Hope that makes some sense, if not this might.
  13. I've got an old bearing that came out of my 05 pro 250cc. one side says MT 280412006, the other side says ST 5225. hope it helps.
  14. Has anyone fitted one of these to there 125-gas gas? link If so what results did it give? I

  19. Tom, I have a 05 txt pro and have the same two bits welded back on and at the same time had all four off the air box mounts welded on the inside(gas gas only weld one side). I got a guy who is a very good welder to tig weld the parts. Hes done a top job with no worrys. Like others have said on an 08 bike talk to Gas Gas UK first, but its your bike now and if you want to ride it may be quiker to get the work done youself. mike
  20. Yep take your engine out and get them done... I did my main bearing and crank seals a month ago. Not a big job. Parts where not too bad and came next day from gas gas UK. Took about half a day and a few cups of tea.
  21. Max get Alan in racehill motorcylces to put a steel insert tread in there. They are a lot stronger than helicoils and will hold very well.
