Got the repair done,drilled the frame and tapped the hole out m8,then drilled the bush out m8 and welded a bolt in.......job done.Thanks for your replies.Chris

Get yourself to a bearing stockist with the pedal and pin,ask for either a "du" type bush or an oilite type,if i remember right, a DU should be a good choice

Do check the kickstart pinch bolts are tight,and DON'T jab the starter when kickin it off........i found out the hard way.....

Hi,i've not long swapped to a gasser,one thing i've learned.......the hard way,is to kick it over properly........

Check your foot pegs aren't loose one of mine was,sounded terminal for the engine!

A trick you can use,is pour boiling water on the ali,helps break to bond between the bearing shell and the swing arm

Forget the posh plug,i've been told today that Lampkins say change the plug after 3 trials,that'll get expensive if you go iridium!!!!!

What was the factory standard sprocket set up?

Hi,is the front sprocket a bit loose,mine was,it drove me nuts.or it could be a wearing chain.

You could try Unipart motor factors or any Facom tool suppliers,also Demon Tweeks do the but they're a bit pricey,the Facom ones are a good bit of kit,they're supplier to Ferrari.

Got the gear swapped over,re-assembled,and re-installed in the motor,now the kickstart won't return,help........!
