    R.I.P. Marco

It may well have been a top Honda but a top rider has been lost through cruel luck. I think from what I have heard and read Marcos dad new it was bad news as soon as the impact happened. His comments "ciao Marco" were made as the stretcher was passed over the trackside fence. Very sad for all. A huge loss for Moto GP. We will be back to boring processions now.

    Fuel overflow

Yep, it does sound like a stuck something after being dry for a while. A tap with a plastic mallet and fresh fuel may well cure it.

    Beta Suspension

My understanding of this system is both legs have oil and springs inside? One leg is compression, the other rebound. DO NOT TREAT BOTH LEGS THE SAME! Each one needs to be valved and the right oil added for what you want in terms of feel. Then both legs need balancing to match feel and them work in unison for your body weight and riding style. Both legs are are bolted and locked together top and bottom so it's in your head if you think they are uneven. I seen road race bikes with this set up and if it's set up well there is no bother. It's clever and comlicated yes, but it isolates the two main forces (compression & rebound) so if your issue is compression you only have to work on one leg and vice versa.
  6. My front brake is sharp as hell! How do I soften it off. It is like a light switch. Locked or rolling, nowt between.
  7. Over the moon? Thats one hell of a jump!
  8. My Dad's got one with a dented tank in Lincolnshire if anyone is interested?
  9. Try not to get sucked in to buying more engine than you need. I went from a Raga 300 to a Beta 200. It was a really good move!
  10. STOP!! Don't do electric. You will be so angry when you finish riding and you just can't clean your bike. A very cheap (cheapest you can find) petrol one is the way ahead. You can take water with you or suck it up etc but if the flow is not enough your wasting time (and your money). Once you have a petrol one you already have fuel etc. Mine uses less than 100ml to wash off a bike quickly. Mine was from a mate who did moto X. It will last forever, be useful elsewhere and a general good investment. Don't go down the "by cheap by twice" route with an electric one. it's never enough.

    Rear Sag

Were always closer than we know!
  12. In my 200 I use 450ml of Putoline light gear oil. It all works much better than when it had ATF in.
  13. I have helped as a marshall at enduro events on a TXT 250, Raga 300 and soon my Beta 200. It is no problem as on the tricky bits it is a walk in the park compared to riding an enduro bike. The drawback is long fast bit of open going is scary when other riders come flapping past. Golden rule is go your own way. The faster guys will find a way round - you'll also be picking them off the floor at the next hill.
  14. Fair play. I have always thought riding can keep you fit. I have just returned to riding after a three year lay off and am amazed that just poking around a few rocks, wheelies and general climbs etc can work up such a sweat. With running it is just so dull. Riding you just want more and more!
  15. Trials is a really cheap sport if you go second hand. Cheaper than mountain bikes!
  16. I have an 07 200 Beta. I had a Raga 300 before. I would not go back. The Beta is so easy to ride. You attack everything with total confidence. Not lacking any power or feel for me.
  17. It looks like your bike might be a little tired. Id do a substantial strip of the intake and exhaust and make sure it is all well sealed.
  18. You will also need to remove the kick arm and gear lever.
  19. If your sure all the bolts are out have you tried light taps on the case to break the seal? A soft (rubber or hide) mallet is what you need. Tap the case 90 degrees to the way it goes on.

    200 Joy

Well I did it. I've got rid of my 300 Raga and downsized to a Rev 3 200. What a difference. I am riding things (first time in three years) I never tried on the Raga. All I can say is control, control, control. It is a dream to ride. Yes a bit of fuel dribbles out etc but I am really chuffed I've gone for the 200. It is ace.

    Txt Pro 02 250

I am the victim of the link to the 05 Raga. Did you find the change was stiff or sticky feeling? I have now taken my motor out for stripping so am hoping it will all be ok and I just need to change to a different oil. After years of enduros it was a shock as to how complicated and compact the Raga is to take apart..... are all trials bikes such a pig to do engine work? Trial by name trial by nature........love it to bits though! ha ha
