  1. Nice Picture!, I've always liked Fujigas, Even When he is being interviewed on the Trials on Eurosport he always seems like a real genuine guy & not a soar loser like a few of the others can be, & he is always smiling & likes to have a 'Happy Trial' as he says & puts on a show for the crowd, His style of riding is my favourite though, 100% effort & 100% Aggression!
  2. Wow, Let's order 10 just to be sure, If you click where it says 4 sold, then look at the price lol.
  3. I Know a chap who has the 20% stiffer SXS spring on, & he says he likes it, The suspension feels a lot better, Bit to hard for my liking cause I'm not as heavy, But I have been considering The 10% stiffer spring.
  4. I know the Montesa's cost a lot of money, & The Monts & other 4T's can also go wrong & sometimes can be a pain in the backside to fix because they have a lot more parts to them rather than a 2T, But any bike can, I Know with my GG 300 I had last year, I'm not joking, But I had to fix it every single week, It was the worst bike I have ever owned, But When 2 strokes go wrong, they seriously can be a pain to get round, as I experienced with My GG 300, I'm not so sure that I'd 100% agree with that you can't over rev a 4T, The 2T's are better for reving the backside off, But I don't think that You will damage the Valve Gear, Only probably if you really really over rev it, I know a few lads who are always reving the Monts to near the Max & they seem to cope pretty well. I still think that the 4T engines will last a hell of a lot longer than a 2T, Only problem is, is that there are a lot more bits to them than a 2T.
  5. That's MX Bikes though, Only trouble with 2 stroke MX bikes is that there so yappy and everyone hates them, If the 4RT's weren't so expensive, The 4 stroke would probably be just as popular as the 2T, Shame Not everyone knows what the Beta 4T is like as well, Because that must be the must under estimated Trials bike on the planet, There spot on to ride. The 4RT & the Beta 4T have such reliable engines, Not saying the 2 strokes haven't, But the 4T's are bombproof.
  6. There both as good as each other in there on ways.
  7. Did it take you that long to figure that out?
  8. 2T are excellent Machines & I love them, But that statement is the most load of rubbish I have ever heard before, No matter how much you disagree a 2T engine will never live longer than a 4T, Fair enough if you look after a 2T it will live for more time But The 4T engine is so much more reliable. Hence one of the reasons why they cost much more to make.
  9. - Two-stroke engines don't live as long as four-stroke engines. The lack of a dedicated lubrication system means that the parts of a two-stroke engine wear-out faster. Two-stroke engines require a mix of oil in with the gas to lubricate the crankshaft, connecting rod and cylinder walls. - Two-stroke oil can be expensive. Mixing ratio is about 4 ounces per gallon of gas: burning about a gallon of oil every 1,000 miles. - Two-stroke engines do not use fuel efficiently, yielding fewer miles per gallon. - Two-stroke engines produce more pollution. From: -- The combustion of the oil in the gas. The oil makes all two-stroke engines smoky to some extent, and a badly worn two-stroke engine can emit more oily smoke. -- Each time a new mix of air/fuel is loaded into the combustion chamber, part of it leaks out through the exhaust port. just found a few bits of information of Disadvantages of 2T's which is all very true. I'm sorry but when you own a GasGas I really don't think your in the position to talk about How much better 2T's are, When your radiator is cracked and your airbox is always full of water, & when the bike has completly had it, In another 5 years time the 4T will still be running strong. Then you can tell me how much better a 2T is, Trust me when you see an Evo 4T fly up a hill then you will seriously know what 4T's are about, Until then if you havn't experienced a new 4T I'm sorry but you can't judge them, No matter what you say the 4T's have more Bottom End Torque than a 2T does, But a 2T has more top end power. I no the Torque of 2T's & 4T's is generated differently as you say but 4T has more bottom end Torque.
  10. I don't think in one way the 4t's need to be up to the standards of Bou's bike to be comparable to 2T's & Normal 4T's will never be like Bou's Bike because his bike is a Factory secret and for no one else to know What special Parts it has on, I mean in my opinion the 2T's are better for Indoor stuff where the lightness and the top end power is a big issue, & are a very good 'Tight Section' bike, where they are good to 'flick about' But on the Hillclimb's I'm sorry but the 4T would make the 2T look crap, I Know these top UK lads like Dabill & Wiggy can get them to do anything & I'm not saying the 2T's can't do hillclimbs But that's when the 4T can really shine, They have better bottom end grunt. Also as Cabestany said, The 2T's can do some things better than the 4T, & the 4T can do some things better than the 2T, which is true But I think It is very unfair to say That if the 4T's aren't up to the standard's of Bou's bike that they aren't in the same League as 2T's because that is very much Untrue & Totally Wrong to say.
  11. I Know that Toni Bou does Aerobics, for his body flexibility, which is a very important factor in Trials, So that may be a good place to start. Or just go to the Gym & try a bit of everything.
  12. I'm Sorry, But who even mentioned that in the first place, Obviously Bou's bike is uncomparable to standard Monts, Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that one out, But anyway the fact is, 2 strokes, Lighter, Easier to chuck about, 4 strokes, way more torque, More postive engine response in some ways etc.., But there both as good as each other in there own ways.
  13. If you can afford it, Then get Raptors, by far the best footpegs on the market.
  14. I see what your saying, if it needs a good clean up inside, it's an ideal way, But why is it such a mess inside anyway, maybe to much oil in your petrol? or running to rich? You would of been better off getting a new silencer for it. Looks like you have done a good job of what you wanted to do though.
  15. So is that the only way of repacking it, by cutting a huge hole in it, Surely not, I no with my old GG, you could just take the end can off it & repack it all the way down to the bottom.
  16. Not being horrible or anything, But Why is there a point in making a huge whole in the silencer just to repack it, I no for one thing that you would not getting me cutting a huge hole into a
  17. Can I ask why you have cut a hole out in the exhaust?, you can just take the plastic end off, that's what it's for.
  18. No offence mate, But you are always moaning at something with new bikes, The Currency might be stronger, But honestly for one minute do you expect GasGas to drop the prices of a 2011 bike to lower than an older 2010, How do you expect they are going to make a decent profit? It's simple if your not happy with the prices, don't buy one, or send a complaint to GG in spain, But to be honest however much you argue at the prices at the end of the day it won't make any difference.
  19. Definatly Agree with having a 290 Evo, Are the shocks really that bad?, I have had my evo 290 now for about 10 months and the shock has been fine, never caused any problems.
  20. I don't think that is quite the case with Toni Bou though, and also Ben Hemingway is very good on The Evo 4T, I no the majority of trials riders ride 2 strokes, & they are suited to trials more, but I think in time the 4T's could very much be just be as competative in any trials events.
  21. I have a 2 stroke myself and love it, But sorry that statement is a load of S**t, I mean my dad and a few other own Beta Rev4's & Evo 4T's which are brilliant, Okay they might be a bit on the heavy side, but compared to a 2 stroke, The 4t's have the torque behind them, when you trying to get up a big hill on a 2 stroke and start struggling you will have to clutch it, but the 4 stroke has the torque to go all the way, One of the only reasons I have a 2T Evo is because they're a lot lighter & have a more flicky feel to them. Not slating a 2T because they are very good, But I think it's a bit harsh to say 4T's are crap, Just because they're a bit heavier. Trust me if you have an Evo 4T, with an Arrow back box on, Then you will know what the 4 strokes are all about.
  22. Yeah it's a good shocker, no good to me like because I don't have a Sherco, bought it from a bloke who said it would fit an Evo but it wouldn't, So need to get it sold!
