  1. Bearing should do it! I had a little problem with my kickstarter too................... I forgot to put the washer on the shaft that sits just inside the clutch cover................ 5 min job to put back on. luckily I had used a new gasket and was able to re-use it. bad part is I did the rebuild while recovering from gall bladder removal and had a 10 pound lift limit. so I had to wait for my wife and kids to lift the motor into frame, take bike off stand, lay bike on it's side, etc.......
  2. Was Bou grown in a lab and infused with Bio-engineered cybernetics?
  3. Soon...........very soon.............
  4. I am really looking forward to seeing the new Vantastic in person. off to da googles!
  5. OMG that whole post is just GOLD!!!!! "Vantastic two point oooOOoohh" is a huge improvement over the first. "So several years ago I was towing to events with an MX5 Mazda Miata. Eventually that car met its demise" Many good stories to go along with this statement!
  6. I got "Sorry that video is not available" So I follow the link to the FIMtv youtube channel, and yep in the uploads sections right up front is "52 minutes of X-trial des Nations - Nice" I clicky and get the same message. So did FIM mess up when loading it or is it a country restriction type thing? Or is there really a conspiracy to keep Zippy from enjoying any recorded X-trials??????

    Fun On Ty80S!

Glad to hear I am not the only one that slides his face across the dirt/sand. Was it a JT1? (Yellow, Mini Enduro, it was 60cc) I had one of those just a few years ago. Fun little bike, throttle was like an on/off switch though. But it hauled my fat around really good. Probably really moved with a proper sized rider on it. AAAAAAH memories, Either from many years ago or recently made, all these little bikes are fun.

    Fun On Ty80S!

Been many years since I rode a TY80. Dang thing was pert near bullet proof. I was around 10ish yrs old when the following occurred. Out riding with my dad (TY250) and brother (TY175). I was playing in a nice wide gentle sloping gully when the front end washed out and I hit the ground face first. It was not a direct hit on the ground because I still had forward momentum. So my face basically slid across the dirt. I must have been going to say something as I fell, because I ended up playing steam shovel with my face as it scraped across the dirt. My lower jar played the part of the scoop. Once I was done crashing my face is covered in dirt, my eyes are caked shut with dirt (rapidly becoming mud due to tears of fear/pain) AND there are teeth marks in the dirt! Luckily we were riding at a dairy farm with the milking shed close by that had water available to wash my face off. Got all washed off, had quite a laugh about it and went back to riding. (Dad and I still chuckle about it to this day)
  10. That narrow spot for a dab.......................If I had not missed there would not have been a tumble.

    Scorpa Factory

Trials Forum equivalent of Kanye West "Imma let you finish but....."
  12. Seems like a crappy place to keep your key
  13. Mr. Snell, Thank you for providing clarity into what has occurred. It is a shame that you will not be allowed to continue representing GasGas. I completely understand the need for yourself and others to take on other brands during the GasGas financial difficulties. It is good to hear that you are able to continue to sell your current stock of parts. Good luck with TRS and may your business continue well into the future. oh and thanks for bringing the videos back.
  14. I got a few bits (warning another advertisement) from Motomerlin. Now to put it all back together.
  15. You have the listing of torque specs? Are you willing to share?
  16. I just checked a link I had saved to a listing of torque specifications for the GasGas. that is gone as well. which is very troubling for me. I still need to re-assemble my engine
  17. The Unicorn has been found! (warning incoming "advertisement") The wonderful folks at Jack's Cycles were able to locate a gear for me. it is a used gear but the condition is excellent. There are of course very mild witness marks where the gears mesh, they look better than the marks on my current one. And it has all of it's own teeth! I will be replacing the bushings in the gear with new, so it should ride on the shaft better and last longer. (I think) As far as I know this is the first Gearbox issue this bike has had and it's 13yrs old. I know the previous owner well and he had it from new (he was not exactly gentle on the bike). So I would think this other gear should last quite some time.
  18. I don't think they have it. The 2/5 gearis a single piece that includes the part missing the tooth and the gear "on top" of it. I have tried many places andbit just does not seem to exist. I am waiting for responses from 3 sources still. So fingers crossed!
  19. Replaced the dog bone bearings. And I am waiting to find out if anybody has the Unicorn of Transmission parts. The 2/5 gear.
  20. If you have a few or a few or even a couple you may have a good chance of gluing those gloves to the bike.
  21. I too noticed the strict adherence to the bash plate dabs. I think they even gave a 2 because one of the riders obviously stopped on the bash plate and then during the bounce to reposition the bash plate touched ever so slightly and boom another point.
  22. I understand your pain................ My family can last up to 15 mins. (30 mins if I am guaranteed to crash)
  23. The topic is titled Sherco Moving The Fuel Tank Back Shouldn't it be titled Sherco Moving The Fuel Tank Forward OK I will go now.........................
  24. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. I really liked being able to see the Qualifier and how things were decided going into the main. Couple things I noticed that we don't normally get to see. 1. the failures. most coverage is just a few minutes and they show all the great awesome rides. but over time we lose perspective of just how hard these obstacles are without seeing the failures. 2. All of the minders helping out. I liked seeing minders assisting riders that were not their own. Really shows good sportsmanship.
