You and me too! This is my first pc, always used macs before, but it was three times the price for the same spec macbook! It is lightning fast, but i've given up trying to get it to do what i ask it to do and just accept it. Having said that, after i re-installed the system it is a bit better, now we know why macs cost more.

I use ATF in the clutch and as i had some left i tried it in the fork as well and was pleased with the result. 600cc in the clutch and 170cc in the forks.

In an interveiw in a french mag the factory said late 2009 early 2010. Apparently they are having problems with the combustion chamber. The guy said that it was as good as the montesa already, but they wanted it to be better, and hinted that the side valve engine is not 100 per cent certain to be used if they are not happy with it.

Hi, you could try www.scootracemotos.com near Lyon, or www.dherbymoto.com in dept. 38, these are the two most active dealers in the east of France. Or www.horizonmotos.fr in dept13 who are advertising a "special offer" on Repsol Montesas. I dont know how new bike prices compare here in france, (i am in the Lot), but second hand bikes seem a lot cheaper in the U.K. Cheers Tim

I watch the coverage of the USA nationals on pulse tv (sky u.k. 208) occasionally, turned on today by chance and they are showing the 2008 world round,good coverage too. Might be repeated tonight.

On my 198a with the mk2 amal i tip the bike to the left for a few seconds, then push the choke lever down, usually starts second or third kick, and then after a few seconds lift the choke lever. Also remember to close the fuel tap when you stop or the engine will flood. oh, and dont open the throttle till it catches.

Hi, thanks for the comments. Most of the bikes around here are mx or enduro, and as we are in the middle of nowhere you can ride more or less anywhere. My next step is to join a club, although transporting the bike will be a problem (when i bought it i managed to get it in the back of my opel corsa!). I think that it is Stuart Brown of BPS Engineering that you are referring to Chewy, i've seen his web site, and will contact him soon as i need some new shocks for the bike.
