  1. I think so, its as much a case of whats on next years bike, this would have been on the 84 factory produced one if it had ever been in a financial position to run production, then within a year or so monoshock. It helps with a couple of things chain tension grip rear wheel clearence etc but mostly increased rear wheel movement/travel. there are 50 or so other mods which all help make the bike nicer. Best of all the conversion including swinging arm cost less than £200 (at the time!).
  2. I observed at the wallace in 2012 under no stop rules and tbh it was one of the most sressful days of my life!
  3. more likely the cost of calling it a raga. its a recession guess his wages were cut so was his name on the bike?
  4. 5 definately on the second section, once you get to allowing stopping like this its not no stop. the marks are the same participation is down whats the point?
  5. its to do with the gears and is a big fat bolt head which is machined down to get swinging arm pivot further forwar, so this one is moved by 5mm less I'm guessing.
  6. unusual in so much as the bottom end scores of the wtc seem worse under no stop? So what encouragement are sections like these regardless of rules?
  7. The mag cases were introduced alongside the mag swingingarm which had a few "problems" so guess rather than bother with the cases its not possibly enough of an incentive of weight loss to worry about, and the factory bikes dont have them now afaik? Think you will find S3 make the heads for all the gassers now. As there is a big list of stuff I'm not sure there are many punters that need to be fooled. So when you gave your 4rt a "makeover" did you fool anyone?
  8. The raga replica has always been first with the modifications that raga has as a prototype for the following years bike, and they are usually obvious. Its as close as anyone produces as a replica..
  9. unusual scores on lap onehttp://www.trialonline.org/02%20RESULTATS%202013/2013%2001%20JAPON%2001/01%20105%20MONDE%20JAP%202013%2001%20TOUR.pdf
  10. reg used to make a brace and bronze weld it pivot bracket is shortened, not nicely there is a plunger into the gearbox which needs to be shortened. All the above refers to "comerford replicas" You know what these are I am assuming.
  11. Went to have a look today and its a tidy enough bike but owned by someone who doesnt know much about it. started 5th kick from cold with the choke. The airbox is made from stainless the swinging arm has indeed been moved forward and the swinging arm could be a whitlock but the under seat fabrication is not there the pivot bracket isnt right and the plunger is original length so Im guessing not a comerford job at all. The forks were very soft the cycle parts ok but quite a few non standard nuts and bolts etc. Its been pwdercoated so looks good, normal head steady so not a real late one. Could only find 5 gears tried a couple of times but seems like ones gone. Box was ok but primary chain very slack. front box needs re packing im not going to pay more than its at now, I'm out!
  12. I hope that orders not been placed yet!
  13. Nice! http://www.trialscentral.com/headline-stories/14793-2013-gas-gas-txt-factory-replica
  14. swinging arm looks almost standard to me
  15. unusual to have a late number and matching, never heard of a willoughby near here, looks good.
  16. If its a flat field get a small log branch or brick and just try a blip of throttle to get over simple and small obstacles. Free play, yes but not too much.
  17. Good luck to Jack, by heck the Juniors looks competitive this year!
  18. Its now a few days to montegi and still nothing from the Fim on the promised costs and participation issues, sadly.
  19. I understand you're frustrated but unless there is a bottomless pit of money or we pay more taxes to get police to wipe your arses its what weve got.
  20. Never really had much to do with them tbh except when we have needed (break in in progress) then there response has been rapid and efficient.
  21. Im guessing this is a few years back as the no insurance lark and police powers they have now to sieze vehicles is having an effect. I think its the same as teaching you shouldnt critisise too much till youve actually done the job, it aint always what it sems, and with the cps sticking ever increasing constraints requirements then its a thankless task as far as i can see. I would note that a) you havent volunteered to be a cpo and not suggested paying more tax to fund more officers?
