Mine does seem to be on alot more now you mention it!! Haven't really noticed before. If you do get water round the motor spray WD40 (or equivalent) into the back of the fan, where it is mounted on the motor so that the water is not rusting up the bearings and seizing the motor. Giving you an expensive part to buy!!

This has been asked so much, with so many different answers and there are other topics on this subject but, to give my 2 cents...i was told by my dealer to put in about 350ml.
-
All done! The glass just pushes out and the clutch bled perfectly! All seals appear to be holding well.
-
I was told 350 when i got my 04 250 pro and thats i've always put in! Even in my 07 300. Haven't changed the amount.
I agree with D. Sileo, put too much in and it'll just come out of the breather. I've seen it happen.
-
thats where it came from. my dealer had to order it in. as soon as he got it i picked it up!
-
Unfortunately it didn't! I'd expected it to come with all the seals aswel. But that is how it has come. Quite disappointed but if i can swap the glass and keep the seal in good nick then i'll be happy!!
-
I have just got a new clutch casin for my 07 300 Pro after i broke it before xmas. I have taken all the seals off the old one to put on the new one but i'm having difficulty removing the glass. I don't want to break it so can someone give some easy ways to remove it???
Cheers

I've never had trouble with the kickstart gear before until it broke on my 07 the other week. It just snapped clean off. Nothing wrong with the teeth, it snapped between the teeth and the shaft! Nightmare to get back on but works perfect now. No trouble in gettin the part either, my dealer had one in cos a few other people have had the same problem with their 07 bikes.
-
Would that be the bit on the kickstart shaft???
-
WELL DONE MARTIN!!!!! I struggled for 3 hours to trying to get that last one on. Not very happy with GMX because of that. They don't advise you that they are slightly bigger and may need to fight with them!!
They do look the dogs and are worth it but if you don't know they're gonna be a pain in the ass, it's extremely annoying!
Tell us your secrect Martin, how did you manage to get all the clips on??? My bogie clip was the bottom clip on the smallest hose, on the water pump.
-
Hi Martin,
Have you purchased the GMX hoses??
I got some of them to bling up my 07 300 a bit but the hoses seem to be slightly fatter than the standard ones. Because of this i struggled ALOT to get the jubilee clip onto the smaller hose on the water pump. I could not do it so have had to put the original black one back on. I got the other two on OK but that last one was a pain in the ass!! If you have got them on, well done...and let me know how you managed it!???
-
I have to say that Reeth 3 day was the best for me. Such a varying weekend, great fun and brilliantly organised. Definately doing it again. Despite the Manx being my home trial it is a very close second, but considering they had to extensively re-jig the route it was a brilliant trial again. Now that Foot and Mouth seems to have gone (famous last words) the trials next year should be even better. Bring on 2008!!!

I have also heard that he has been testing the 2 bikes extensively but that he prefers the 2 stroke to the 4. I'm not sure if he will help develop the Rev4 that much during the year due to his World Championship comitments, seeing he his trying for his 100th win and another world title. It might distract him him too much if he rides both too often! But we shall see.

Hi guys,
I was just reading your topic and i find it mind blowing that your riders had to pay for their travel!
I live on the Isle of Man and i helped out alot with the TDN. I also know how expensive it is to get on and off the island let alone travel all the way from your side of the pond! Ok, it's alot of money but expecting the riders to pay their own way is ridiculous. Thats gotta be sorted out for next year as it's probably gonna be as expensive to get to Andorra.
Anyway, just thought i'd put my view down!
Happy riding guys

Haha, funny man!! MO mentioned it to me the other day as another trial to add to our list!! But i can't find anything about it!!
-
Hi,
Does anyone know or have any information about this trial??
Cheers
-
I think my fan seized, bingo, so i think you have done the right thing for the long run by buying a new one. Better safe than sorry!
-
Yeah, i put 400ml in mine. Was told to change it quite regularly too, every few trials.
-
Hi, I had a problem with my fan on my 04 Pro. The bearings went and the fan packed in, had to buy a new fan. My fan started to whine toward the end of trial and after washing the bike the fan stopped and the rad boiled over, luckily i noticed and it didn't do too much damage.
I was advised by my dealer to spray some lube (WD40 or similar) into the back of the fan after washing so the water wouldn't rust up the bearings and eventually seize them. Hope that helps in some way!?
-
The bike looks mint! Still not sure about 4t power though. I wouldn't mind that colour scheme on my GG. I wonder if thats what all '09s are gonna be like!?
-
And i thought Bou was small! Thought Pedrosa was bigger than he is!! That has made me realise how good Pedrosa really is on those bikes!!
-
Hi,
I had similar problems with my 04 Pro 250. Once it was the pump and i got that sorted simply with a new seal, i discovered though that the gear box breather pipe was sucking in water from rivers or when i was washing the bike. I would check where the end of the breather pipe is and if it is low, try and put it as high as you can...ie. the top of the bracket where the rear brake reservoir is bolted on, just behind the top of the shock. Or check your gaskets.
Hope you sort it out.
