  1. Berkett recomends 70-1 mix
  2. There are no spacers! The question is, why is the tank rubbing? Are the mounts bent? Plastic padding or the resin should be Ok. Don't remove all the paint unless you intend to use a plasticizer primmer. The kick-start is a common problem. It shouldn't rattle unless the ball and spring is missing inside. I think the damage is done mostly when you push it in after starting it. Yes thats correct the fixing points are about a half inch away from the lugs. Make sure cylinder nuts is domed shape. I put some foam padding on the frame where the tank sits to stop the paint rubbing off. Grind of the welds on the outside edge of the silencer and it should split in half and then just re-weld the original joints.
  3. As far as I know all you have to do is remove the fame lug on the kickstart side. This gives you a lot more room and makes it easier to replace the rubber connector on the back of the carb which is normally very tight. Haven't done it myself but I know it is a Berket approved mod. and I know a rider who has done it. Darren
  4. I wash mine with a hose and then I polish them with the Plutoline Wax. Then I keep them in the box supplied. They always look brand new! Fantastic Boots so comfy
  5. I am after a Front Michelin X Light Trials Tyre but no one has any! Any idea's where I could get one? Regards Darren
  6. Its old inaccurate news and a terrible english translation! Another earlier thread mentioned a rescue plan from the French Government.

    News

Lets hope so, that would be fantastic news.
  9. I found this review: The D2 Open Face is a new lid aimed primarily at 4X racers, dirt jumpers, street riders and freeriders who want more vision than that of a full face helmet and also extra protection over a regular lid. It's based on the full face design and this retro-styled helmet offers a super comfy fit with good ear space and a soft padded lining that can be removed and washed when it becomes too stinky. The push buckle chin strap is simple to use even while wearing gloves. We'd be worried about our teeth, though, and at this price would prefer the all-round protection of a full-face. Great for showboaters and Star Wars fans then, but not a realistic choice for most folk. I don't think it is a trials helmet! Old troy I defiantly haven't seen him riding at any local south center trials.
  10. How about this HEBO ZONE CARBON FIBRE TRIALS HELMET SIZE XL-975 GRAMS Item number: 290331121650 Buy it Now for
  11. HEBO ZONE 2 CFTT CARBON ULTRA LIGHT WEIGHT HELMET WITH VENTS Best bar none! No crash helmet will eliminate sweating but this will defiantly reduce it. I have been wearing mine all day and never felt I had to remove it because I was to hot. Looks fantastic, and weights nothing. The only down side is the price!

    Scorpa?

Translation: Following the declaration of dated January 16, 2009 suspension of payment, the Scorpa company could continue its activity during almost the 6 months of period of observation in order to allow to find a solution to ensure the perenniality of the company. A plan of continuation had been considered but could not be implemented for lack of agreement obtained with the principal bank of the group. By mutual agreement with the bodies of the procedure the discussions continued within the framework of a plan of transfer. Several transferees presented themselves and two were retained: - An Italian investor associated with the company Gas Gas presented a revival project of the activity, part of stocks and guaranteeing 75% of employment and a maintenance on site under the condition precedent of an agreement of maintenance of the supply engines by the company Yamaha Motors. The latter warned by her council which she did not wish to continue the supply within the framework of the project Gas Gas. The court noting that this essential condition with the realization of the offer not being filled, the offer of Gas Gas was not maintained. - The Fites company, representing the interests of Mr. Marc Teissier and owner of the Sherco manufacturer deposited an offer with resumption of l' activity with part of stocks, maintenance of 25% of employment and a removal of l' activity on the site of their factory of Nimes. The court considered that the social aspect of this offer was not satisfactory. Thus, the Bankruptcy court of Nimes pronounced the liquidation of the company. The procedure of disposal of the material and immaterial goods will be carried out by Me Pierre Julien, Mandataire Legal, 9 Blvd Victor Hugo - 13100 Tarascon

    Down And Out

The translation from Babelfish RECALL The manufacturer of motor bikes trial was placed in L' compulsory liquidation; announces compulsory liquidation of the manufacturer of motor bikes trial Scorpa, company window of the mechanical Pole d' Ales, constitutes the first large failure of the industrial site and leisures launched by the mayor d' Ales max Roustan (Midi Libre d' yesterday). One includes/understands better why aujourd' today its Christophe Rivenq, principal private secretary, is more qu' land-mark.

  16. Check out Scorpa SY250! Great bike, very reliable Yam engine, cheapesh parts and generally good build quality.
  17. Bring Back Kick start! Trails needs a house hold name and mainstream TV coverage and some big sponsorship. Maybe a TV series that looks at the following:

Hi Have you checked the caliper piston is working? Change the oil? Change the pads? Is the disc damaged or warped? Darren
  20. I always thought pre-production and concept was supposed to look better than production to WOW and entice the buyers. At that price they wont be selling many at all. I if you have a poll the bike would be a doomed based on all the comments so far. I still sand by what I have said from the start of this Topic First impressions and WOW factor!
  21. Looks all good so far! Just Idea, maybe invest in open trials open face helmet? Your going to get very hot and the peak will restrict your view and motox helmets on trials bike look strange.
  22. err which one then? It may be a good thing to be able to remove the engine in 45min. Especially if it goes wrong all the time Not even a close comparison with Triumph. Please! List of components does look quality but thats because they are not making them! The parts they are making look very poor considering the 6000 hrs quoted design and development. Again I quote " I bet they are running out of money, thats why they have launched it early". Who has paid for it so far?????????????????? The more I look at this project the more I feel it will disappear quickly. I hope i am wrong.
  23. The website looks just like the bike "Unfinished" The more pictures I see of this bike the more it scares me! The hole project looks so underfunded. How are they funding the bike? I bet they are running out of money, thats why they have launched it early. The hole thing look a bit like TVR to me (TVR were better looking but also run out of money). Before I parted with any deposit I would want some financial guarantees about the company. What's next or is this it? Please, Please go to a company that specializes in product design and get the aesthetics sorted. Then a Graphic Designer for the graphics, website etc. Then a photographer for some decent studio pictures. I would love to see a break down of the 6000hrs quoted design and development. Probably a lot of "yeh" "na" "ooo" "ar" "er" "lets have a cup of tea" "anyone fancy a pint". This made me chuckle Greeves 'Probably the best Trials Bike ever made' yeh in a shed!
  24. Just bought a pair of Black Gaerne boots. I tried all the different brands on but found Gaerne to be the most comfy immediately. They are really nice!
  25. On a serious note. Every post is negative so far! They should have done a lot more work on the bike before showing it. Everything that has been said so far Greeves could of avoided if they had done a focus group or got some opinions from people in the know like Dougie Lamkin etc. They launched it to soon and badly. (only my humble opinion) I hope Greeves read all of the comments made in this forum it is an accurate representation of what people think. Again hopefully Greeves take them on board because it would be fantastic to have a British made trials bike. They launched it to soon and badly. (only my humble opinion)
