  1. Yes you can definitely get one in a berlingo, just put it in diagnolly accross the back. You will not need to remove anything from the bike. I think you can even get 2 in with a bit of crafty positioning.
  2. Sorry that wasn't my most well written post. I meant to direct the question at anyone that reads it, but it did sound like I was directing it at you. I am riding. I see that Dabster is riding as well. Just wondered if anyone else was, and they might reply. Cheers Dave
  3. Thanks, This one looks about the right location. If I remember correctly the pub was white, and you parked on the road outside the pub by a hedgerow. Unfortunately this clashs with the Bemrose so I can't ride as I have already entered that. Cheers anyway. Dave
  4. Thanks but I don't think it's any of them. I have ridden in the 2 trials that start from the Red LIon at Earlswood., and the Colmore and it wasn't the Vic Brittain. Kings Norton rings a bell and the Clifton woods bit. That might be the one. Thanks for your help lads.
  5. At the beginning of 2004 (early January I think)I rode in a road trial. It was somewhere off the A44 in Herefordshire/Worcestershire area. It started from a pub car park. I think the Cowley brothers were riding and Paul Millhouse. The first group of sections was in a muddy stream bed, the 2nd on a wooded steep bank that was nigh on impossible to ride in the conditions. Then there were more groups around stream beds and steep banks coming out/ into them. It was a really good trial and just wanted to know the name so I could look out for it next year. I have looked in TMX for it every year since, but either miss it or it's no longer run. Cheers Dave
  6. I live in Beds and travel a long way for decent events. I would reccommend the classic rounds in the North in October and November ( the Hillsborough Classic and the Peak). The Bemrose, The Gerald Simpson, The Hipwell Trial would be good. The Midland centre do some good events like the Christmas Pudding and a couple of there road based championship rounds. Also look out for the Hurran next year. Manx 2 day is good as well. I am a pretty poor rider and I have ridden the Reeth and found it hard going, back in 03. Like Perce said good day on the Friday but hard work the other 2 days. The sections are fine, it's the bits in between that sap your energy, so by the time I got to the sections I was knackered. Saying that though I am going on a fitness campaign and am going to try and get a ride again this year. Cheers Dave

Cheers Vicx I have been looking on the BBC and met office web site and looking cold and dry on Saturday and rain Sunday. Fingers crossed. We are covered in snow down here, worst I have seen it for years. According to the website it will be up your way tomorrow.

Don't worry dude. Atleast you are not riding on your own, or sleeping in the van!

Has anybody got the full address or just the postcode for the Coach and Horses pub where the trial starts from. It was probably on the original regs, but I have lost them. Also is anyone from here going to be drinking there the night before? Cheers Dave

That's a good little site. I got my figures from the ratio table I cut out of my old 98 315 manual. No seizures to date!

To rich, 80 to 1 to 100 -1 depending on the oil you are using. If you go 80 -1, which is what I run my 200 Beta on. It's something like 56.25ml of oil to 5 litres of petrol. Don't quote me on that though. Check first.

No 28, off at 9.30. Result. Number came through in the post this morning. Roll on 11th February.
  14. Nice plan. I might be the spanner in the works for the over the 100 bit though. I might be a bit out of my depth, but don't worry about that. I will still have a good laugh, and it's a day out on the bike.
  15. Thanks. I posted them back today. No doubt I will live to regret it. 150+ marks here I come. Looking forward to a good road trial that is not a 3 hour drive away. Roll on March!
  16. Before I had chance to get the details out of this weeks TMX, my wife used it to line the rabbit hutch! Could somevody give me the contact details that I can get the regs from. Scorpa 3 have you got them? Thanks Dave

Yes, he said it was your bike he was sorting. My 04 Beta used to do that all the time. Pain in the a@@e.
  18. I could of told you that mad4it. You should have just asked.
  19. Wise words. It is worth getting in your van and travelling to ride in decent trials. You will never want to go back to the local ones. I know people round my way put a lot of time and effort into organising their trials, but the land is to limiting.
  20. I have got an 07 200 Beta. I am pleased with it and I do feel more in control of the bike than on previous ones I have owned. I think that I do ride it better than other bikes I have owned, although I don't neccesarily enjoy riding it as much as other bikes I have owned. If that makes sense. I rode in a trial on sunday with a lot of 4th gear climbs and it certainly didn't lack the power it needed to get up the climbs. The delivery just seems a lot smoother off the bottom end so you get better grip. I would say the top end power was very similar to the 04 250 Beta I had. The only thing I have found is that you have to make sure you are in the correct gear. I had a 4rt before and you get away with being in the wrong gear a lot of the time as it would just pull from nothing. On the Beta you have to think more about your gear selection. I guess it makes you a bit more focused on the job in hand, so I end up riding better. Probably a bit of new bike syndrome aswell.

Pay attention, he's called 'Dad' and he's sometimes pretty angry I spoke to him last night, and he wasn't angry at all. Very helpful infact. Was more than happy to chat to me even though he was busy repairing bikes. Top bloke!

    4rt 2007

Fingers crossed then, as you say. The to much oil on the filter seems an odd one. The filter on my old 4rt was drenched in oil from the factory and it never affected the plug/running. There was so much oil on it that I never needed to oil it in the year that I had it! Hopefully your problems are all sortede now anyway.

Has anyone heard anything back from the organisers yet with regard to a riding list. I know that it is a few weeks away yet but I want to sort out somewhere to sleep rather than make the four hour drive on the morning of the trial. I see it starts from a caravan park. Does anybody know if this is open, I thought I could park the van and sleep there overnight. Is it near a pub for food? are there facilities on site? Any information that anyone has, or any bed and breakfasts people know about near by would be appreciated. Thanks Dave
