Does anyone know when the Gerald Simpson is this year? Normally round mid May, but I can't see any details on the Richmond web site.
Is it still on? I hope so as it's a brilliant trial.
Cheers

I have the Akraprovic pipe on my 07 Rev 3. I am very pleased with it. Bike seems to run crisper, and have a bit more bottom end go (mine is only a 200). No rejetting, just put it on. Wearing well so far and I got it 2nd hand from a mate who had it on his 250.
Looks a lot better than standard. I also prefer the look of the Akra over the S3, buit that is just my opoinion.

Lampkins have been hiring out Betas for a while now to overseas riders. Don't quote me on this, but I think they charge about

As far as bits of ground go in the South Midland Centre, Bayford Wood is one of the better ones. Can be very muddy if it's been wet though. Most of the sections are based in and around a stream.
Try and get there early as parking can be a nightmare.

It's a bit of a treck for you, but it is still a south midland centre trial. Probably the furthest you will have to go but still be in centre all year.
The Brian Stonebridge Trophy Trial. 1 lap 40 sections all off road. Entries close 10/2 so you would need to be quick. I wasn't going to ride, but as I am not doing the colonial this weekend I will ride that instead.
Run by Cambridge Matchless, details are in the back of TMX.

Guttted, I feel sorry for the club, and for myself.
It's a top trial and a good night away for me beforehand.
Hopefully get a ride next year.

Anyone from colonial country know what the weather is going to be like up there on Sunday.
The only time I have ridden it before was re year before last, when they had to run 2 laps of 20 on
The first half of the trial. I will give them a call nearer the time if it's still looking dodgy. Just wondered if any locals
Had any inside info?
It's a long way to go to get stuck in the snow!

Dougie is going to be teaching Vicki Butler Henderson to wheelie on tonight 5th gear

Bit off topic, but so we know what the Xispa is up against.
Evo 125/200

Apparently the Evos have gone up to

So has anyone actually got one of the new Xispas, or even seen one at a trial?
I think Haven have had them for sale for quite a while, but I have not seen one out and about. Only at The Dirt Bike Show.
Just wondered what they were like for a normal rider to ride.
It would be a shame if they disapeared before they really got going. Another trials bike manufacturer has got to be a good thing??
I am not sure they are cheap enough to make people go for them instead of the established brands. Hopefully they will sell a few.

Cheers for the info. I will book something up.

Does anybody know when the riding list for the Colonial will be available?
If I am on it I need to try and get some accommodation organised.
Thanks

Fair point, and I would agree. I do always ride it but I only live 2 miles away, so I can jut ride to the trial. An easy day out on the bikes, instead of the usual 3 hours on the M1 heading for decent trials.
However, I am pleased to say they didn't put us through the mudhole in the corner and I didn't even need to clean the bike! Only one stupid tie yourself in knots through trees section as well. So all in all a good day on the bike.
Well done Berko

No worries. It arrived this morning in the post

Has anyone seen a riding list for the Vic Brittain yet?

I thought your score was pretty good considering you entered the hard route Lennie. I was impressed.
-
I have a mate who is selling a very clean 06.
If you are interested pm me and I will give you some
details.
Cheers

Yes the climb up the cliff face was impressive. Not has horrible as it looked though as two of mates used to do it. I never had the bottle though, no room for error. It was the last 40 odd foot vertical bit that got me!

Sundon is still there. They have started filling it in, but that will take about 100 years, as it's massive. Not sure how easy it is to get into these days. There will always be a way in but it's just finding it as it's so big. Don't think you can just go in the main entrance anymore. I am sure all the T**ts on nicked bikes still get up there. When I first used to ride there in the early 90's it was awesome. You could have held a world round in there.

I went to watch the Scott for the first time this year. I have been in or around trials for a long time now, and have ridden in that part of the country a fair bit.
I have had a crack at the Reeth 3 day and various other trials up there, and had an image of what the Scott must be like. Maybe an eased version of the 3 day sections to take into the fact that it's a T&O. How wrong could I be! I was amazed by the severity of the sections. The trial is simply awesome, and as far as I am concerned anyone who attempts it gets my respect. Although it's obviously a lot shorter than the Scottish, so you can't really compare the two the intensity of the riding must make it tougher. I don't think that I can complete either of them, but if I had to go for one I think I had more chance of finishing I would go for Scotland. Maybe someone who has ridden both will comment.
Congratulations to the club aswell. Organising it must be a mammoth task. There can't be many other clubs that host so many brilliant trials each year.

You can get 2 trials bikes in the back of the mark 1 caddy with the tailgate up. Both facing forward on full lock with the bars turned towards one another, and pulled into each front corner. The wheels touch each other at the front and the tailgate goes up at the back. they fit perfectly. They are so snug you hardly need to strap them down.
