  1. Thanks for confirming. Front pipe is on, the silencer is going to take a bit more modification. Kick start is going to foul and it sits a long way out from the bracket on the frame. Should be good when it's on.
  2. I ordered one of these along with and SM front pipe for my TY175 and they arrived yesterday. The holes don't line up quite correctly with the studs out of the head on the front pipe and will require a bit of modification which is annoying but as the bike is 25 years old to be expected. What I was surprised about is that the WES silencer/mid box does not have a hole in the main mounting bracket. Has anyone else fitted one of these? Are you meant to drill it yourself or have I been sent a duff one? Cheers Dave
  3. Thanks for the replies. Should be possible then. Cheers Dave
  4. Hello I am thinking of buying an aircooled Fantic and would want to get it road registered on an age related plate. Does anybody know who I could contact to get a dating letter? I am not sure who was the importer and if they are still going? Thanks Dave

    Meet Tug!

Justin, is that you? If so, long time no see.. Mont looks lovely. Enjoy Cheers Dave
  6. Thanks, the regs printed in the sporting motorcyclist (sm centre review say it's Glendon) do the confusion must be coming from there.
  7. Can anybody confirm the venue of the above trial? It says on the Nene Valley website that it's at Cranford Firs, but a couple of my friends are convinced it's at Glendon Quarry. Would like to ride, so don't want to turn up to the wrong venue. Cheers Dave
  8. Contact Sandifords, they did mine for £10. As they were the importer then it shouldn't be a problem.
  9. Has anybody seen the regs for the Bemrose, or could point me in the right direction. I can't see them on the NDYMCC website. I am presuming they are out by now. Cheers Dave
  10. Outdoor shops sell fuel bottles for carrying fuel for camping stoves. They are about .6 of a litre or 1L normally. I normally carry one of the smaller ones in my camel back if I am riding a long single lap trial.
  11. Yep I went Thursday as it was half price. Pretty disapointing from a trials perspective as usual, in my opinion. All manufacturers there apart from Ossa and Scorpa. Only one trade stand selling trials bits that I saw. I didn't watch any of the displays. They may be ok.
  12. A friend of mine collected his new Repsol yesterday, and I popped round for a quick look. Looked very nice. The new rear mudguard really goes a long way to updating the look. Seems to make it look smaller than the last as well. Haven't had a go on it yet, but hopefully I will at some point.
  13. Will keep an eye out for you on your way back down. You are right about the tea and cake. We just stumbled on the trial by chance when on a national tea and cake quest once.
  14. I know the routes are due out about now, but does anyone know if it will be the usual group Monday afternoon? Lagnaha, is that what it is called? The one where they sell the cake and tea from the hall opposite. Coming up on the road bike and won't get there until Monday pm so will head straight there if that's the case. Then sort out programmes and tents and stuff later. Cheers Dave
  15. I disagree, back in 06 I went from a 4rt to a 200 Rev 3 and when I was riding the bike the weight difference was not noticeable as the Monts carry their weight very well. However when I was pinned under the bike or literally dragging it through a section the Beta definitely felt lighter. Did it make me a better rider? No. It was easier to drag out of sections though. I used to enjoy riding the 4rt more though, much more rewarding for me when you get it right, and I have another one now which I got after having a 200 evo which was pretty light, but don't regret swapping back.
  16. Just wanted to say what a fantastic trial this was. Great sections, excellent route marking, stunning countryside! Well done all involved, brilliant job.
  17. Hello Sorry for the late response, but can't seem to find how to reply to your PM on the new TC. He paid £790 from a place acalled D&G performance I think. Cheers Dave
  18. A friend has just put one on his, looks and sounds lovely but don't know about any other differences it has made. Rode my standard one back to back and couldn't notice anything obvious, but as I said look and sound great.
  19. Some great pics, thanks. Only one of me but I had my feet on the pegs, which was a rare occasion over the weekend. Fantastically organised trial. Very hard work (especially the hill after about section 4 on the Friday), but glad I rode.
  20. We got a ride, we are staying at the appt at the pub. Looking forward to it...

    Which 4 Stroke?

Both are extremely competitive bikes at all levels in my opinion. Mont is definitely carrying a bit more weight, but it carries it well as the suspension works great and great build quality. Beta looks great, and I have never ridden the 4t, but before my mont I had 2 Rev 3's and an Evo and they were great bikes and I never had any issues with the Beta build. You see a lot of wanted ads on TC for Monts so I would say it will defiitely hold it's value better than the Beta here in the UK. Probably a different story in other countries. You really need to get the opportunity to ride both, the only way to really decide unfortunately in my opinion.
  22. On the same website as the racks check out the trailer they do a collapsible one that comes apart in minutes for easy storage. Would that be any good?
  23. Milton Buzzard will be hosting their Bob Hilder Trial at just off the A10 near Puckeridge in Herts on Sunday 25th. This is one of the best bits of ground available to the club, with a hard bottomed stream (rare round here), plenty of climbs, logs and other natural obstacles. About a 2 mile lap as well so a good ride round. Venue has plenty of parking, with no entry limit entries are avalable on the day. Come along and make the most of the decent weather!!
  24. Fair play. You got one of me with my feet on the pegs! A rare occurrence today.
