  1. Excellent, thanks for the info. Pretty much what I was hoping to hear. Much appreciated.
  2. I am thinking of buying an old air-cooled mono that has been restored, and whilst doing this a replacementengine was fitted. This means that the frame number matches the one on the log book but the engine number doesn't. The bike is registered to the correct address and I know it's not stolen. It is not currentl taxed or mot'd but I would want to get it back on the road for road trials. What imPlications would it have if any? Would anyone other than me ever even know?
  3. I think 314's were lauanced in 94, which were red and purple. I think the 95 and 96 model was the same colour which was white and blue or purple colour. I am sure the fly wheel pullers would fit all 314 years as they were only available for 3 years I think. If you were to ring Sandifords and give them the frame number I am sure they will be able to tell you the exact year.
  4. I can't ride this year, as I am temporarily without a bike. I would recommend riding this event though, excellent trial and I will miss it this year. Roll on next year

    200 Joy

Excellent, glad you like it. My last 2 bikes have been 200's (Rev 3 and Evo) and I have loved both of them.
  6. I got a pair and ripped them on my first outing, when I went to get some replacements they had all gone. I'd have a couple of pairs.
  7. Here you go Get the megahorn!!!! http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mobile/MobileModels.aspx?ModelID=21720
  8. I've had a 200 rev 3 and Evo. I thought both were great bikes but IMO the Evo was better. Just sold my evo and they are a bit of an oddity in as much as not many people want them but there are not many about to choose from for the ones that want them. I only had 2 calls when I sold mine but the first call bought it without even seeing it.
  9. So after 20 years of always having a trials bike, I decided to sell it and put the money towards a road bike which I now have and am loving. I also have a trail bike, and the reason for selling the trials bike was that to be honest I enjoyed riding my trail bike more, and had become a little tired of trials after so long. This was probably due to the cost in time and money of living in the south and spending hours in the van driving to trials up north, as they are the ones I would enjoy the most. Anyway to cut a long story short I am now missing my trials bike. I am still loving riding the trail bike but only getting away on that a few times a year. So I have been thinking of a plan. I can't afford a 3rd bike so thought about selling the trail bike and buying a 4RT (
  10. That said a pro woulod be able to get on your bike and hop it around with no effort at all. If you are starting out don't worry about hopping it about. It only ends up causing you to drop more marks.
  11. What about a Cotswold? They are new twin shocks I think. Or the new 125 4t gas gas trail/trial thing. Can't remember what they called it.
  12. Yep my 1990 245 had a tubeless front.

    Mondays Route

Thanks for the replies. What about if I was going to give Leanachan a miss as I have been there quite a few times is there any others that are worth a look before Lagnaha? Not heading back until Tuesday morning so should be fine for town hall brae.

    Mondays Route

Up in Scotland for a couple of days but only going to be able to take in one day of the trial. Monday. Want to cram in as much as possible on that day plan is to start at Leanachan also do Lagnaha and Town Hall Brae can anyone recommend a group inbetween that I stand a chance of getting parked at? Was thinking Blackwater or Coire Mhorair, are these groups ok for spectators? Cheers Dave
  15. Great thanks, pretty sure you can only ride the likes of the lancs county and bootle ones that are back to back if you are eligible for one of the classes so I just wanted to check. Cheers
  16. Possibly one for Perce, but does anyone know what date the Gerald Simpson will be this year? Can't see any details on the Richmond website. Cheers Dave
  17. I see that the Bemrose is a Normandale round this year. Does anyone know if there will be a class for riders that don't fit into any other class, like at some of the other rounds like the Phil King etc? What I mean is someone under 40 on a modern bike. Want to ride as I have ridden The Bemrose most years for the past 12 so don't really want to miss it. If I can ride where can I get the regs? Can't see them on NDY MCC web site and the ones for the championship on the ACU site don't have the extra class. Cheers Dave
  18. I love mk1 caddys. Just got one myself. Not for the bike, but great little vans if you get a good one.
  19. Mk2 caddy diagonally across the back. No need to move any seats. Citro
  20. Strip the headstock and re grease. Had the same on all my Beta (3 so far). Did this and the clonk disapeared. I had to do it on 2010 Evo too
