Will, can you add your location to your profile?
  8. Yep, I can do the ones on that site, I just can't get the one like they have in the UK.
  9. IMHO, be prepared to go through a few bikes in the next couple years. If you get one that's too big, he won't ride it. If you get one that's too small he's out grow it quicker. Find the right one and be prepared to buy another in a year or two (or less)!!! Find one with a good resale value. Again IMHO.

  13. How did you check the cam chain tension?

Hi Kevin, I remember that bike, got lots of looks! Darrell, big problem I see is a very small flywheel. Cool idea, frame could be even lower, WOW.
  15. Stone or Years?

Adjusting the cam chain is counter intuitive. In is loosening, out is tightening.

Yes, I've had mine for 33 years or so..............That's my attraction, just nostalgia.

Yep, Sammy Miller exhaust. I've got one and I LIKE it! You have to modify it a little unless you have the 76 S model.

Well, I said I'd let ya'll know when it was running. It is! Feels like 3 times the power of the 125. Smoking like crazy though. I'll have to see if a valve seal popped off or something. I may have to decrease compression even more. Way too jerky off the bottom. I'll play with the ignition timing and the valve timing first though.
  24. My son's Rookie would stall easily unless you kept it revved up. I wanted to put a flywheel weight on it but never got around to it. We put 4 lbs on his Mecatechno Amigo and it transformed the little motor, you couldn't stall it! The momentum of the flywheel made it pull much better off the bottom. Yes it revved slower, but not too bad.
  25. Have you thought about adding some flywheel weight?
