  1. Anyone know who supplys rubber hose for carb to air box connection?
  2. I might be interested in just the s/arm, but ithink it complete about
  3. Anyone got an up to date e-mail address for Duncan Mcdonald? This one armacdesign AT hotmail.com does not seem to exist any more.
  4. Thanks for replys so far. Will be getting spacers for sprocket & engine sorted to move engine over 5mm will then have to space out footrest hanger etc, you do one thing and then you have two more things to sort out!
  5. Mine has Whitton hubs and i think bultaco brake plates this fits in without any spacers. The wheel could not be off set anymore to the right without the tyre touching the shock. Do people have the left hand side of the s/arm widened as well? & move the engine over. Some pics of modified s/arms would be good? i will post some of mine asap.
  6. Have thought about spaceing it over, about 5/6mm? think this might be the best soloution. Any one do a kit for this?
  7. Rode the cub for only the 2nd time today but one of the main problems is the tyre to chain clearance, The s/arm has been lengthend & widened on the right but the left side is standard the clearance is very tight and i have extended the c/gaurd the stop mud being picked up on the chain and that worked but mud is getting between the c/guard and tyre and forceing it over to rub against the chain. I know you can space the engine over 5/6mm to get the chain away from the tyre or is it better to get another s/arm? (miller or Mcdonald) or get mine alterd more? Interested to hear how you guys have got round this problem. This is Midlands mud! dont suppose up north its such a problem?
  8. My other ride. 79 Fantic 200. Used most weekends on middle route club trials and SM rounds.
  9. One of the other side and engine. Its a standard 199cc,Serco/Alan Whitton spec + detailing i have incorperated. Will swap between Dellorto & Amal depending on the trial.
  10. [/img][/img] Some for the Pre 65 riders. Just finished. Tried to keep it still like a cub but competitive as well.
  11. I have a picture but not allowed to post it. Any idea how to post it. (i am not a site supporter?)
  12. Got it sorted today. i had to retard the pvl ignition and ended up with a 85 main jet, needle set at 2nd notch from top. Retarding it has stopped it kicking back now as well. It will pull smoothly in 3rd without hessitation. Was running a BP5HS but it seems a lot are running a 4? Whats the consensus on plugs.
  13. Had pvl fitted by martin Adams. Would that give those symptoms then.
  14. Hi Mick thats very close to mine, only difference is main jet i have a 100 fitted. I can not get it to run right yet. going to 1/2 throttle it wont rev past that, its a feeling like a rev limiter has cut in. Maybe its not carburation and something else? Plug is black & sooty as is the tail pipe, which would suggest too rich? I have played with needle hight until i feel it is at its optimum setting, 2nd notch from top, also tried a 108 main (from Mark Daniels 250 cub) and that made it worse, and then tried a 92 main (from my Fantic) which allowed it to rev a little more but still with the same problem. Any thoughts greatly appreciated! p.s. the carb was brand new supplied by Serco's Martin Adams.
  15. Anyone have the settings for a 199cc cub fitted with a 22mm dellorto, jets/needle position etc.
  16. What jet's/settings are you running in your dellorto on your cub? (199cc)
  17. Are you not allowed to put pictures with a topic any more?
  18. After checking everything i have found that the s/arm is twisted. The left hand arm is slightly higher than the right this has happend when the s/arm was lengthend, so i will take it back to the engineer/welder i used to sort it!
  19. I must agree on the telephone manner. I always try to go through a miller dealer. As to the few times i have phoned, then a complete 'can't be botherd' attitude was on the other end, and only a few weeks ago i enquired about some cub parts & was speaking to the man himself, when i said i would ring back with my card details in 5 min he just put the phone down! Still havent orderd the bits but will do now its under new ownership.
  20. Thanks. From the rear though as you look at the bike is the left shock quite a bit further from the tyre than the right? How did you attatch your picture?
  21. How do you post a picture? i am clicking on 'insert image' and then in the tool bar a message comes up saying 'this website uses a scripted window click here to allow' then its asking for the URL, i want to post from my pictures not an internet address? any ideas.
  22. can anyone post a picture of their cub from the rear. Doing a final dry run before getting the frame painted & i have drawn a blank to remembering how close the right side wheel was to the shock compared to the left? i know the wheel does not sit dead centre but it looks well over to the right. The engine is out at the moment so i cannot check sprocket alignment. Batterys flat on my camera but will post a picture asap.

    Tlr 250

when i first had my Tlr 250 i had the same problem, i think i turned another screw down to make it longer. The original one in it was too short.
  24. I have a 5lt container of Putoline 10/40 sport semi synthetic, unused (had it for a road bike i have since sold) would this be suitable for the engine in my cub? as with other view's i was going with ATF in the primary, 100ml? not sure there. Gearbox, i have been told to use a light gear oil, but in my Fantic 200 i have always used straight 30wt oil (millers) good spec rating and cheap too no clutch slip either, would this be ok in the cub gearbox. How much oil in the g/box?
