  1. Mmm box fresh machine, nowt like it. Enjoy.
  2. Welcome along, great site isn`t it ?
  3. No one is forcing any one to do something they don`t want, it was just a suggestion. Put your handbags away.
  4. Hi bud, maybe you could pop along to the Consett trial on Sunday up at Buttsfield. It`s free to spectate Have a butchers at what goes on. Do you have any mates into trials? I think you may have to go along to a trial to join up, that`s how I did it.
  5. Hi from along the road muddy sump, Stanley trials club, Consett trials club, Seaton delavel trials club, South shields trials club and a few more that I cant remember. We are fortunate to live in a very busy trials area. We are spoiled for choice here bud. You will have to join a club to get a special number in order to obtain your ACU trials licence which you need to take part in a trial around here. Tenna to join a club and a tenna per year for the licence. A G bikes of Richmond have a try before you buy practice area I think, give them a ring first. They are a Sherco dealer.
  6. Got a lanyard on mine and wouldn't be without it. Totally worth the extra faff.
  7. Dude, buy a new kill switch. Maybe one with a lanyard ? Sometimes after a carb rebuild the throttle cable can get pulled out at the bar end giving you those symptoms you describe. Before messing with the mixture and idle screws try refitting the carb and check the cable at both ends. Also clean out the petrol tank and shot some fresh stuff in there, that filth that you found in the carb has to have come from somewhere. Maybe shove an inline filter on too. There are NO stupid questions bud you either know or you don`t.
  8. Two wheel drive, I could do with that on my Gas Gas
  9. Amazingly not many people do until they get caught, good luck bud.
  10. Sorry to spoil your fun bud but after a quick online search I found this. Just trying to help fellow trialists. I know of more than one of my mates have had motorbikes taken away and CRUSHED! In such cases the police have the power to warn the user of the bike to remove it and if it persists have the machine seized and destroyed. Advice for parents and riders: the only places where off road vehicles can be lawfully ridden is on private land with the direct permission of the land owner or at an organised, supervised off road centre. (Bear in mind that you will probably need off road insurance!) What about rights of way and bridle paths? These historic rights of way date back to a time when horses were the primary means of transport. All the law surrounding this preserves the rights of people to walk and ride horses along them. That means no motorbikes or quads! The two groups do not mix and it is simply not safe Can I ride on wasteland or the disused railway lines? The simple answer is no. There is a common misconception that common land or wasteland is free for anybody to do whatever they like. This is not the case. There is a historical right of access for leisure purposes and even for grazing animals but all other use is not allowed. The law that covers bikes is Sec38, Road Traffic Act 1998. Riding motor vehicles on common land or wasteland is almost always illegal.
  11. You my friend seem to be a lucky man because if you did this where I live the law could and would take your machine from you (road legal or not). You would also receive points on your licence. Be careful dude.
  12. If you don't use a rimlock the Tyre will rip the valve from the tube. You will need to drill the rim opposite the valve as per the front wheel.
  13. Please don`t fit a tube without using a rimlock it wont work. If you fit a new rimband correctly then it shouldn`t leak. There is a video on you tube on how to do this. Good luck.
  14. Seen a few more common than you'd think. Try Dave Cooper 4x4 rack.
  15. Good luck at your first trial Tony, have fun bud.
  16. Had the same problem, turned put to be a sheared Woodruff key. Thirty pence later sorted. I now always carry a spare in the tool box.
  17. Hi Tony, you could put out a notice for a lift from fellow club members from your club. Oh and its trial, trials is the plural. Over the moon that you got your license back by the way, I know you must be itching to get out on your bike. Good luck bud.
