What Can Replace 2011 Frame?

Featured Replies

I have a 2011 Sherco 290 that needs a new frame. I can't find a 2011 frame so does anyone know if a 2010 or 2012 frame would work?

The left side 'ear' piece that the swingarm bolt goes through is cracked completely off and there are about 8 other cracks in the frame

Lol unfortunately I just bought the bike and didn't realize it was this bad. It was dark out and the light on the dudes barn wasn't very bright haha. I think the bike fell from the sky a couple times

Falling from the sky is the best thing that could happen to a Sherco

If you've no joy in finding a frame get the old one re welded by a proper welder and a few strengthening gussets while your at it

Thanks for all the replies. If you guys think it'd be ok welding it I might just have to do that. Can't seem to find a new frame anywhere

And you can paint it blue

Yes, Not a huge deal to weld up frame. Kinda makes one seriously wonder about the condition of the rest of the bike when the frame is busted up so badly and not told about it??  :xmas:

just call up your local importer depending on which country your in. i think they would offer you a very good deal on a new frame if not free... worth a try. if not just weld.

happy xmas all  :icon_rendeer:

God knows what this bikes been through, don't feel your grief will end with welding/replacing the frame..I'd get the frame welded and re sprayed so it's safe to ride and be prepared for a lot more such as:are the wheels round and true?suspension still damping and springs not sagged?all consumables will probably want replacing, shock linkage hopefully salvageable, what does the motor sound and run like.Id do what it needs to make it part exchangeable and accept it was a bad buy and move on

What and saddle your hardworking, low volume and margin, Trials dealer who puts a bit back into the sport by sponsoring a few riders

Very noble..............................NOT

Why should a Trials dealer carry the can, by the current owner covering up a known bad bike, which the previous owner had abused to hell and back

Not good form, is it :wall:
