March 18, 200620 yr There are 2 type of people in this world. Those that own a 4RT and those that want to own one. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... what about the people who don't want to own one?

March 18, 200620 yr I read that from 2007 all trials bikes have to meet Euro 3 emission rules. Only on roads I think but anyway this must be good for the 4t. FIM meeting protocol top of page 4

March 18, 200620 yr and I am convinced it would have been the most dominant 4T on the market by now if it was right when they released it. why?
March 19, 200620 yr I read that from 2007 all trials bikes have to meet Euro 3 emission rules. Only on roads I think but anyway this must be good for the 4t.FIM meeting protocol top of page 4 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quite the opposite, IMHO. if its emissions only then if a 2t meets it why have a 4t at all?
March 19, 200620 yr It is not only the emission that makes the 4t a good trials engine, but many other things such as traction and smoothness. But that was not my point. I'm not so sure that today's 2t can meet the requirements of Euro 3, without a heavy rebuild. The question is, is a 2t really that much better than a 4t that developing a 4t is not an option.
March 19, 200620 yr clearly yes or more than one manufacturer would have a machine for sale today. Traction and the 4rt are not synonymous.
March 20, 200620 yr Hey dont forget honda montesa still had two bikes on the out door podium not bad for the first year As for availability,i also could have a repsol rep (05 model with loads of bling to use up unsold bikes ).but try and get an 06.

March 20, 200620 yr I noticed that as well. There seems to be a lot about, certainly on the Clubman routes in the North at the moment.
