Twinshock

I notice that there are lots of mentions of mid 1980s SWMs, Fantics and Hondas but no-one seems to say much about the Cota 242. I didn't ride between 1980 and 1988 and so have little first hand knowledge of what was popular in that era and why. Can someone tell me why these bikes are not popular in Twinshock Class nowadays? Did they have any redeeming features?

Is anybody out there interested in 4 stroke kawasaki trials bikes e.g. Gollner bike & has anybody got pictures or advice on how to build one. Thanks

I have just finishing rebuilding an Armstrong 320 which I would like to register for road use. I've registered new bikes with certificate of newness but this can't work like that can it? It has been registered at some time in it's life but the documents are long since lost, anyone got any advice how to go about it? Will I have to go to have it inspected by DVLA? Any advice appreciated.

Are the Falcon's self service? the seals blow after about 12 months and it is getting dear to keep sending them back to chirpy Mr Falcon. I can get them re gassed localy but how do they come apart?

Anyone had any experence decoking/repacking the exhaust on an Ossa mar 1976? mine appears to have had some work at some stage as both boxes have been cut all the way around and then welded back up. Is this the best way to do it? will the perforated tubes come out attached to one end only?

Does anyone know what the MOT regs are regarding speedo, horn, and number plates for a 1974 TY 250? The bike doesn't have lights but I want to get a daytime MOT like I have on my (1961)B40, however I'm not sure if the regs are different for a later bike.

After a LONG time out of competitive trials, I coming back to have a go at twinshock. My era was 72 - 84 Ive trawled the usual markets in a search for a Fantic 240 / Mont 349 / Maj 320 (ebay, trials central, biketrader) but can anyone suggest other good places to look for such bikes for sale ont'internet or elsewhere........

my shocks are blown on my beamish, any recomendations for replacements?

Hello all, Does anyone have any old copies of Kickstart, with Peter Purves? From what I remember from the TV, it was brilliant viewing, and should be a great watch for us saddo's. I always remember Eddy Lejeune was the man to beat on Honda. I've scanned google, but not turned up anything. Has anyone re-issued it yet? N.B. Adult version, of course!!!

Asking on behalf of a mate, is it possible to dismantle (cut ?) a Sherpa exhaust and repack it. If so how, and should both boxes be repacked ? Thanks in advance ... Mike

Years ago when Mick Andrews was riding for Yamaha he developed a fuel injected bike. Can anyone remember whether he rode it in the Scottish?

Can anyone out there help me find out how much gearbox oil goes in a mont 200, please? The bike is a HM from about 79-80, but I think they are all the same, even the 125/175 versions. Help would be appreciated, Thanks
