Hi my son 12 is wanting to get into mod 20 inch trials bikes, he has had a 26 inch onza spyrogula "spelling". a few years now and wants to trey a 20 inch. Now my nephew buys and sells a few police auction bikes from time to time, and gets the occasional stolen recovered unclaimed trials bikes and parts stashes . Typicaly he has few parts at this moment, but he has three nearly complete bikes, my son can have the pick of for free. Now all seem about the same condition wise one has no front brake and one has a hole in the back tyre. So all seem prety equal on quality. Now he three bikes are as folows . base TA20 with a round tube lover frame tube quite clean go…

I've had a 26" trials push bike for 2 years and I have a muck about on it about twice a week. It seemed to be more suitable to buy a 26" bike than a 20" 'cos I'm 6ft2 but I had a go on a 20" mission bike last weekend and it seemed easier to hop about than my bike. So... what I'm asking is which is better for me to practise on for motorcycle trials? Also ,it seems a daft question but.. are the 26" bikes more prone to pinch-flats (when the tube is pinched against the rim 'cos of low tyre pressure) than 20" bikes? Suppose it maybee depends on the make of the tyre and sidewall strength Cheers in advance for any replies Rob

hi I currently have a onza t-bird 20 inch trials bike and am thinking of getting an onza hitman to try out 26inch trials . what can you do on a 26inch trials what you cant on the 20 inch. i have some magura hs33's which i can add to the hitman. i like the idea of gears and it looks like most pros use 26inch bikes. so if any one has a hitman please can you tell me what they are like . thanks

I used to ride on a 20'' Monty a few years ago now when I was younger (admittedly not very well), but sold it when I stopped using it as much as i'd like too. I am seriously thinking of getting into Trials again but was unsure about which size bike to go for. I would prefer a 20'' wheel bikes but i'm 25 years old now and 6' 3''. Will a 20'' bike be ok for someone my size or should I go for a 26''? Cheers for any help.

I was just wondering if you ever had a stretch of riding nothing but biketrials for like 6 weeks or so then hopped on the moto, did you loose or gain moto techniques? I know this is a silly question but I'm in this bike trials fase and do not even look at my motocycle. I understand that bike trials is a great cross-training tool, especially for cardio, but does bike trials open your mind for more advance moto techniques? The down side of bike trials that I can see is I do not get the forearm and hand strengthening work out like I do on the moto! Seems like a little bit different muscle group. Lots of questions? sam

I am on the verge of buying a new bike but could do with some advice to help me decide. Am looking for something that would be fairly handy at bike trials (only practise mind you) but would also be able to go out with the g/f at weekends for a cycle along the old railway lines nearby. Is there such a dual purpose type of bike??? Any help would be good. Cheers

Hi everyone, I live in North Yorkshire between york and Scarborough. A mate of mine has got a Mission trial bike, but are there any trials for him to ride round here? Do Scarborough DMC still do bike trials at Low North? Are they any good?

Not exactly bike trials, but...... Just come across a reference to the 'Wheel King" bike, from the mid 70's (I know - a long time back!). Anyway, I had a new one, must have been in about '76/77. It has a plastic 'fake petrol tank' (red), MX seat, number plates, suspension front and rear, Drum brakes etc etc. Looked all the world like a 'crosser, and boy for a 10 year old it was cool !! Anyone remember them, or even a photo ??? cheers John.

Hello I'v been considering buying a trials bicycle but I'm afraid I'l pick up bad habits for its motorized counterparts such as uneven peg weighting from pedaling. please tell me any bad habits I might pick up if I were to take up bike trials.

Just wondering what foot position you people use while on a pedal bike? I have always rode on the balls of my feet but recently was told you should ride on the arch!
