Hi All, Few weeks ago at a trial I lost my rear brakes. Had a quick look at the fluid (full) and then took the caliper off and had a look, there's no pressure on the foot brake and the cylinders weren't pushing out. Got back home and bled the system out fully, still having the same problems, anyone got any ideas what I can try next? Cheers Andy

hi, I just got a second hand pair of boot. They're in great condition and already appear to be 'nic-waxed' (?) quite heavily. This is great, but I'm after some advice - should I just clean up the boot (get the mud off) and apply more waterproofing, or is there a way of getting the existing stuff off and starting from scratch? Advice welcomed, and what is a good waterproofer available easily in the UK? thanks muchly pat

My son has just started riding a Beta Rev 50. He is a big 6 year old and a capable rider of autos...BUT... while he tries very hard with the clutch lever on the Rev 50, I'd prefer to get a smaller one. Has anybody made this change and if so, what bike lever and post did you use succesfully? Cheers. J.

Instead of thinking isn't Raga's Christmas message nice I am left thinking he looks a right tool dressed up as a King. I think the double winning of the indoor and outdoor WTC has gone to his head. Any ideas for what he will be dressed as on next years card? The widow tw**ky or Dick Whittington perhaps. Rumour has it he is appearing with the Krankies in Christmas Panto. :santawink:

Ok...so I should have asked first... I have the clutch cover off and was hoping to see the clutch springs held down by screw....but there is a plate with spring covers/retainers. The plate is held by a large ring that is very snug in against the basket. What next? Ease the ring out and watch the clutch fly apart? Get a magic tool that does it for me? (Seems like the plate is forced against the ring by the springs and therefore the clutch would need to be pressed in to allot eh removal of the ring) Help pleeeeezzzz...not seen this type before

Just before the purist's start going crazy, this is just meant as an observation but why are there still trials that have a 'road' element in them. I understand from the early days that most trials bikes were road bikes anyway so it didnt matter, but nowadays, a modern trials bike just aint suited to the road. no seat, a petrol tank that holds sod all and tyres that are just crap to use on the road.( as well as they dont last long either) So whats the point? The other obvious observation is it excludes youths who arent old enough to get a licence. What does riding on the road add to a trial ?. If its regarded as an endurance test then thats better to be done off road s…

have been lurking for a while but now I need your help 1st I have no clue about riding trials I am one of those too chicken to mx and not enough sense of balance to trial I do not even know why, but I got a TX270 a few weeks back and try to make friends with her now I looked for a cheap project bike so I'd have a 2nd bike to drag someone along last weekend proved a CRF and a TX do not like the same terrain and speed long story short: I stumbled across 2 Fantics within 4 hours radius both have been stored for years, both are complete (sort of, redneck complete), both need some tlc and both are in the same price range and I did not find much info on either one …

Had some pretty grim news. Hoping for some positive feedback... Not only do they want to cut me up,they also insist on selling the trials bike and replacing it with a pushie.....may as well just f#@$%*g die. Is there anyone out there who is still riding or knows of anyone regularly still competing in trials after hip replacement.
