Having ridden the bike for the 1st time in 'anger', I found that 1st gear is a little too high, what size sprockets do you all use? I have 43t on the back, not sure what's on the front...I'll take a look tonight. Cheers all, Mark.

I'm starting to rebuild the bike now, but might have a problem... The taper roller steering head bearings supplied are not both the same, unlike the old ball races. A mate said he'd fit them as he has a press, but I think they're the wrong way round - does anyone know how they should go in? One has a shallow outer race with a raised part to the centre race, the other looks like a conventional bearing and has a deeper outer race. Thanks Mick

Hello i am still trying to set choke as the bike takes 5-8 kicks and more when below freezing what are the replacement part numbers for Honda north america in the p09a? carb seems cheaper to get a Mikunin that has replaceable parts rather than a chinese el-cheapo' thanks tlrbc

If you have one laying around, could you measure it for me? I need a part number on one that's 220mm eye to eye. Thanks.

Hi techs, The new four stroke CR250F (I think) has a coil built into the plug cap. Do you think this would work with an old CDI ignition?

The offset appears to be incorrect on my bike, in the 89 manual it says the rear wheel offset should be 24.5. But my wheel is 35.75. The wheel had been rebuilt with an excel tubless rim which is 72.40 wide. I'm am rebuilding the wheel with stainless butted spokes, so need to confirm wether it was wrong and what an 88 offset is. Does anyone happen to have an 88 manual or a link to a PDF. I already have athe 89 one, but because there are differences (all be it small ones, it would be great to get one). Cheers for any assistance.

  15. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has fitted an OKO 24mm flatslide carb (copy of Kehin PKW) to their TLR? If just fitted one (with a lot of mucking about) pilot is #55, main is #118. Needle on centre groove. Runs ok to mid throttle, then like ***** above that. Just wondering what others have done.
