Hi all,did a trial today with a local club, good trial but a lot of the sections were very muddy.i would class myself as a novice rider, but today was a struggle, not that i didnt enjoy it though. One prticular section i fived it four out of five times .It was just a muddy climb with not much run up,but i just couldnt get any grip.I tried 1st,2nd and then third with a good handfull of throttle without any success. Most of the riders struggled, but some managed it easily.I was stood watching the other riders lines etc, then this bloke flew up on an old TY!! So,what am i doing wrong, any advice would be good

The 1st round of the Huddersfield Falcons 2011 club championship is to be held at Nethermoor farm this coming Sunday. For those who haven’t been to Nethermoor before it is a fantastic venue with plenty of natural sections. Deatails of how to get there can be found on the club website, www.falconmcc.co.uk. The club has reverted back to TSR22A STOP ALLOWED rules for 2011 as the majority of riders seem to prefer them. This doesn’t mean that the sections are going to be stupidly tight with big steps and no run up. The idea is still to have nice flowing sections, challenging with nothing dangerous, but those who can do all that fancy ‘hoppin n bobbin’ can do if they so wish…

On October the 19th Humberside Hawks is running an open to centre trial for anyone wanting to enjoy a day out on there bikes which will cost the normal entry fee of 12 pounds. Afterwards i am hoping to hold a short meeting to decide the future of the club and will continue running it with enough support.

Tim Dale on Time and "Snowy" (sorry forgotten the rest ) on Punch and SWAN on Section 11 at Addingham. I had to get to work for 7pm and they helped out enormously by pulling the section allowing me to get off with a little time to spare. Also to all the riders who took my marking with good grace and showed impeccable sportmanship. Hope you won't mind coming across me again.

Times getting close for Lochabers traditional SSDT precursor, The "Ian Pollock memorial trial" . This event is traditionally based in Kinlochleven and as well as having some of the best scenery and views in Britain it allows entrants to ride a few of the SSDT subs as well as the long ride out in the moors which the trial is famous for. The regs are now available for download at:- www.lochabermcc.co.uk , dont be slow though as entries are limited to 150 and the event in the past has been oversubscribed. Why not make a weekend of it , family , friends all welcome (you can even observe if you are keen enough, with or with out bike, just get in touch). hope to see you all …

The organisers of the Ilkley Motor Club’s Yorkshire Dales Trial scheduled to take place at Pateley Bridge on JJuly 23 regret to announce that the trial has been cancelled. After discussions between Trial Secretary Mr Nick Pullan and Clerk of Course Mr Adrian Tate on Monday evening the trial was cancelled as it was not considered viable to wait and hope for further entries to the eighteen already received. The Club regret taking this action which is in no way due to any changes by the Club. Regulations were in the Technical Press in May and circulated to past competitors and Clubs.
