The entries for the 2008 Scott Trial are due to close next weekend & there are still some places left for those wanting to ride the toughest one day Trial. With entries due to close on Monday here is your last chance to enter the Worlds most gruelling one day Trial for this year. As one of the top events in the UK Trials callendar the current entry list includes all the top runners in the British Trials Championship, this includes Steve Colley who hasn't taken part for a few years. Also in the entry list is Amos Bilbao who is becoming one of the hardened regulars! The Scott isn't just for top lads it's a great event for the club riders to take part in or even gain a coveted finishers certificate. For the first time since we started allowing a 3 rider charity team to take part there has been no volunteers. Is there no takers out there? All we ask is for you to take it resonably seriously & raise some cash for a charity of your choice. All you have to do is take it in turns to ride a bit of the course, you get to start at the same time as the first rider away so it gives you somthing like 8 1/2 hours to finish, easy Come on folks, there's still time to apply.

Bruce Storr – a Scott Trial legend. The Richmond Motor Club remind all potential Scott Trial contenders that regulations are now out for the annual October frolic on the moors above Swaledale. Ken Wallis is the Event Secretary so get those entry forms filled in and posted to him forthwith or miss out. The closing date is a mere six weeks away on Friday September 8 first post. Bruce Storr rode the trial way back in 1982 on a Gori and ultimately took on the testing role of Clerk of Course for an eight year period before handing over to Paul Robinson. Richmond Motor Club are holding a Yorkshire Centre Trial this weekend starting at 10.30am near Low Row in Swaledale. The Trial will be two laps of twenty sections, many of which are based on the Clubman sections used in the Reeth Three Day. The idea is to have one course of straight forward, old fashioned, becks & gullys. There'll be no tight turns & big steps to frighten the lesser lights but there'll be plenty for every level of abiltiy to have a go at. The Scottish Classic racing M/C will be running a trial this saturday afternoon as part of our annual Dunoon weekend. Round 1 of the Scottish Classic Racing Motorcycle Club trials series is on 21st of feb at Kilearn. Classes for everyone though it was decided at the AGM that we are going to focus more on the classic and twinshocks this year.This means an easing of the sections though everyone is welcome,there will be an A route for anyone wanting a harder challenge on a modern bike.Anyone wanting some input as to the section severity are welcome to come early and help with the setting out.If you need details of times or directions,PM me.

I am taking entries now for the SCRMC Abington 2-day trial.A,B and C routes with classes for everyone. Sensible sections with a short route on saturday and a longer run across the moor on sunday. The next SCRMC trial is this coming Sunday, 12 July 11am start, at the excellent venue at Abington, just a mile from Junction 13 on the M74. As last year the trial will be over 3 laps of 15 sections spread round a 5 mile moorland lap with, on a clear day, excellent views from the top of the hills. The trial has Classes for Pre '65, Twin Shock, Clubman, Over 40, Air Cooled Monos, Youth A, B & C and caters for both modern and classic machines. The event will be run over 2 routes, the normal B route and the W route which is suitable for beginners, both Adult and Youth, and riders on more standard Pre '65 machines. The SDMC Cliff Collinson Trial to be held on the 13th January 2008 is now a national event. The format will be a single lap of 30-40 sections (exact number to be confirmed) taking in Low North Park and the surrounding area including sections that may (or may not!) be familiar to those who've ridden the East Yorkshire 2-Day and some beautiful North Yorkshire moor crossings.
