Rumour has it that Steve cleaned the trial with regular championship contender Mark Hicken second on three marks lost. On the Over40/Clubman route, 2005 Champion Clive Charleton give the rest of the field a five mark head start, by stalling his 4RT on the very first easy section. Please can you pass on the following info to all potential riders of Middlesbroughs Clubman event on Oct 11th (Sunday) The above evnet was originally planned for Beak Hills Farm, however having found out late that it is double booked with the local Shooting syndicate, we had to find somewhere at very short notice. Kindly Guisbrough Motor Club has given permission to use Slapewath Nr Charltons. The trial is still a Clubman only event (though everyone is welcome) with seperate routes for Cluman A & B, the same team is putting on the sections, even though we are Middlebrough club lads we know the venue well, so the lap should be a good ride round with sections to suit…

Good start to the 2008 Sammy Miller series, good set of sections in some great countryside. Interestingly, I think this might be the first time that the twinshocks (28) outnumbered pre-65's (23), with only a few trail bikes and 8 or so sidecars. Vic Ashford Trial article and photos I enjoyed myself, thanks to the observers and organisers

Just got back from observing at the Vic Britain, it was very wet and muddy. I managed to get a couple of pictures of various riders. Sorry they're not very good but it was pouring down, so it will just have to give you a flavour of the event until someone can post some better ones.
