Wow, what a trial, absolutely brilliant. The Clubman route was spot on IMHO, a few entertaining/exhilarating numbers with plenty of tamer sections to balls up in between. The ride round over senic hills & moorland is always a highlight for this southerner, particularly the last loop on Sunday approaching that teaser - the Worlds Longest Section. (Perce - is that the Grouse Moor?). I was also fortunate that both my riding buddies were gagging for a go on the 200 - selecting the moment perfectly, I handed the bike over on the final run into the Punchard section........ Anyway, top do. Great thanks are due to all the organisers, observers, & CoCs and nice to see …

competed in forest trophy trial on sunday, great event as mention else were, but hey was it wet and cold. I only had trial trousers and trial jacket on and I froze, took some of the enjoyment from a great trial for me. so I need a decent set of wet weather gear, so what is the best, I dont expect to keep bone dry but I need to keep that wind off, ( dont say stop eating the beans) . who was wearing what and how was it. saw some guys in combat jackets??. and some guy had shorts on?????

This is in here as well as on the front page as plenty of you come straight to here! 'Due to the recent constant rain, the venue is far too wet especially the car parking as even just getting in and out will be nigh on impossible! Even with a dry week there will be no prospect of the venue becoming dry enough to run the trial and so the club have had to regrettably cancel after talks with the landowner! PLEASE LET EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO MAY HAVE BEEN GOING TO RIDE TO AVOID THEM TURNING UP AND HAVING TO BE TURNED AWAY!!! ' Thanks

Thanks to Jon "Lebowski" for bringing the Scorpa along today. Nicola had cut me loose for the day to go out and watch, learn and possibly play. I rode up on the GS and met him and Chris. Registered and got my number...... 63 which has to have some significance as it is my birth year. The three of us went off into some of the woods for me just to get the feel of the bike on dirt. Then bit by bit we went through sections, and to be honest, I was knackered after an hour, hurting in places I did not even know that I had. After a drink break, we were out again, and bit by bit it got easier...... I even managed a few clear sections (probably about 5 of them) some after …

A piece of land bought and paid for by the Yorkshire Post for Motor sport. Taken over during the war and not given back to the club. Now Leeds City council seem to like messing anybody using it for anything but dog walking and locals using it as a "party" venue. Sorry but the "war Dept" and the land they requisitioned needs to be sorted out. too many people lost out and the use of the area by passing to to "local" authorities has lead to loss of amenities. Allowing building on this area is just not in keeping with it's original use.

I would appreciate any info on the laws applying to going off-road with a motorcycle, particularly in Scotland. It used to be a simple matter of writing to the landowner and getting written permission to ride at your own risk, is this still the case? Cheers
