SSDT Chat

Such a popular event it deserves it's own forum!

  1. Started by Andy,

The winker (deliberate typo) who scraped my car, but drove on without leaving a note saying they'd hit me. I always follow the rules that were set down years ago regarding parking at sections - always get behind the white line if there is one or ensure your car is totally off the road. Given where my car was parked over the week and the height of the scrape it was almost certainly a van (and a filthy white one at that) and therefore almost certainly one of the "support vehicles" travelling round and therefore a Trials person who hit it - which makes it pretty disappointing that they didn't have the balls to admit to it.

    Blimey!

  3. As posted just the other day, not much SSDT banter on here (yet...!). So, just to put that right... Anyone heard what level of support the various importers are getting/providing in Fort Bill this year? Factory trucks a-plenty? Intrigued to know as plenty of people will be keen to know what they have to got to sort for themselves if no importer/factory support is forthcoming from any particular marque (or not).

  5. Started by ssdt news,

The predicted tight battle for top honours at the 2013 Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) lived up to expectations on the opening day, with the top seven riders separated by just three marks. Michael Brown (Gas Gas) is the early leader having gone clean on day one, as he bids to record his first SSDT win after finishing as runner-up on four previous occasions. Brown has last year's victor Dougie Lampkin (Gas Gas) for close company. Dougie sits only one mark off the lead as he looks for a record-extending seventh win. Alexz Wigg (Gas Gas) who won the 2010 SSDT has once again opened his assault with a strong showing, his two-mark loss putting him in third place at this point.…

Welcome to Day One of the 2013 Scottish Six Days Trial! Monday's trial is brought to you courtesy of our daily sponsor, John Lee Motorcycles. The weather in the Fort today has been the traditional grey drizzle that we all know and love, but apparently over by Kinlochleven it's a lot brighter, so fingers crossed it won't be too wet out there today.

I know the routes are due out about now, but does anyone know if it will be the usual group Monday afternoon? Lagnaha, is that what it is called? The one where they sell the cake and tea from the hall opposite. Coming up on the road bike and won't get there until Monday pm so will head straight there if that's the case. Then sort out programmes and tents and stuff later. Cheers Dave

Want to cram in as much as possible on that day plan is to start at Leanachan also do Lagnaha and Town Hall Brae can anyone recommend a group inbetween that I stand a chance of getting parked at?
