For all you folks riding the SSDT this year, here's a brief reminder of what you need to register your entry... 1.

Did anyone else notice that, though entered, Vojta Klecka did not apparently ride this year and were they as sad as I to see this. He must have been doing the event as for as long as NIgel Birkett. A pity if the credit crunch has ended a marvellous run.

2012 sees the Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) enter its second century, with nine days of motorcycling entertainment being held in Fort William and the surrounding Lochaber region of the Scottish Highlands from the 4th to the 12th of May. The main trial takes place from 7th of May onwards and SSDT organisers, the Edinburgh and District Motor Club, are pleased to confirm the following details.

Are there a lot of delays with roadworks going up the Stirling way to Fort William? We never know which is the quickest way at the best of times!!

Met check currently predicting rain during the pre 65 and all bar monday it'll be fine for the six days.. so i'll still be taking every item of clothing from sking gear to my speedo's!

Incredible as it is to believe, this time next week we will all be basking in the Fort William sunshine, soaking up the immense atmosphere that is the Scottish Six Days Trial!

anybody from the Silsden/Skipton area going up to the Scottish on Fri 28th April, I need a lift, will share petrol cost. I don't trust riding up with our lad Sunday morning and I need to get mi bike dialed in sat if I can.

After a tough fifth day of the 2011 Scottish Six Days Trial (SSDT) James Dabill - Beta remains ahead of his nearest rivals following a confident performance that saw him drop only two marks in the thirty observed sections, which were spread around today's seventy-nine mile peninsula based route. Dabill, who is the reigning British Trials Champion and is currently undefeated in this year's domestic series, holds a four mark advantage over Alexz Wigg - Sherco going into the final day. hi im going to do a cycle next sat. the reason i put this on the ssdt page is its the fri route at the scottish. It starts at banavie, heads along past glenfinnan, glenuig, lunch at strontian. we dont get the corran ferry we stay on the long road back to banavie. i have set up a just giving page. www.justgiving.com/steven-mycock for those who dont know me ive helped set out the scottish for the last 10+ years. im doing it for the RNLI i know times are hard but every little helps thanks for the support. steven

I can never resist keepin'up with a few of the TC favs for the week of SSDT. Carlos Casas is having a ride! Spot 68! Seems on day 5, TC rider Baldilocks has shed his bananna suit and is just managing to stay ahead of the last Lady rider, Katy Sunter, yet still at a respectable spot of 139 v 141. Just behind is Eddy LeJeune in spot 143! And hard working Mont flogger Billy Craig in spot 162! At this point, If Baldi can maintain his composure and take a win over LeJeune, we may never hear the end of it! Yet at the same time, I fear the 4 piont spread over Katy may not be sufficient to keep the lad from a total PW end to things, as the other girls are out of sight for him!…

I've had contact from Guy Smeeth, the lone Canadian entry in this year's SSDT who has a little bit of a logistics problem. His flight gets into Glasgow airport around 1pm on Sat 6th May. The next bus won't get him into Fort William until it's too late to do any work on his new, untested bike. I've checked train times and that's the same. Is there anybody passing through Glasgow around 1:30pm on the Saturday heading for the SSDT who could help him out with a lift? If so, please PM me or email me trialscentral AT trialscentral.com
