Very sad to see the news that former CCM factory rider and one of my heroes of the 70s Norman Barrow was tragically killed in a cycling accident just before Christmas. RIP Big Norm and sincere condolences to family and friends.

hi all, just got a 1993 rm 250 to restore, i have just rebuilt the engine new bearing piston, ring and seals got it running and it runs really well ran it in like it says in the clymer manual, my problem is when it is warm it doesnt tick over properly it does for a little while then dies but starts ok, anyone any ideas, thanks mark

I have a very smart air cooled RM500 in my workshop,I have been asked to make it road legal but its far too noisy for road use.Has anyone some ideas for shutting it up.It has a brand new DG full system on it which I have permission to chop up.Money is not an issue,time is so any bits that can be bought would be good,but not too worried if I have to spend a few hours with the Tig set.

Hi, i have just bought a Suzuki RM50T 1980 twin shock mx bike to do up as a winter project . The bike in general is in outstanding condition for its year, but needs a seat cover. is anyone aware of where i can get such an item, i would be willing to buy a complete seat if one came up. cheers

I wanted to put the first entry in the motoX forum I dont compete but like to go and thrash bikes around the track on a practise day. Huskies were the best. the 510 i think?? Was the best scarey but great What does evryone else think of these kind of days, Good/Bad or would you prefer to have a private track for these bikes only not open for all!

So here are some pics of one of my creations. It has been an amazing machine to ride and very much worth the effort of building it. It has been an incredible amount of work to get it this far, but I have found it a worthwhile job, to say the least. The custom engine work includes a case port at the rear of the cylinder, and all kinds of trick mods done by Rich Gagnon, of Rich's Taylor'd porting of Utah. This is quite fast for a 125. I suspect it could hang with a modern 125 in a drag race. It even has Harry Taylors picture and sgnature on the gas tank! Anyhow thanks for taking a look at her.

Pacific Northwest motocross has been a very colorful scene for many years, and a central part of the motocross season has been the AMA national motocross at Washougal mx park. This pastoral setting has been the scene of many an epic battle featuring dozens of spectacular characters from the early days around 1973, to present day riders such as Ricky Carmichael, Kevin Windham etc. bellowing around on huge four stroke machines, but just recently the hallowed hills of Washougal MX park heralded the return of vintage racing on it's dark brown earth and loamy berms. So this years Outdoor Lites(250F) battle in the USA should be a good one! I'm sure there are some Ben Townley fans on this board right? What does everybody think? I'm sure that without any unfortunate injuries, this years Lites battle is going to be between the defending Champ Ryan Villopoto and 2004 MX2 World Champ Ben Townley.
