The points gap is now down to 21 between Rossi and Hayden, is Rossi close enough to take another World title? Or could Pedrossa find his lost form and do it? My money would be on Rossi but it's going to be one hell of a scrap now.

The two-year deal extends Pedrosa's career-long relationship with Honda which has brought three world championships, 35 Grand Prix victories in all classes and 12 MotoGP wins - including victories at the last two races. Winners are grinner's, well done Casey Stoner being the newly crowned 2007 MotoGP World Champion. Makes an Aussie proud to see another world champ in the record books and hopefully see a few more championships under his belt in the future. It wasnt an easy run to the finish, as he didnt seem to be happy with his setup during qualifying, but persisted on regardless for a result like no other. The race at Motegi was down to strategy from when to swap bikes and tyres selected etc made for a pretty exciting race I reckon for a close finish. The end of season race was a cracker for those that missed it. Lorenzo showed he was really the champion this year. Taking the lead of Stoner was pure ability, but do feel Stoner was held back by the limitations of his setup (too harder rear tyre spinning up?). Rossi was just had to hang on to 3rd, nothing more he could do, different set up to Lorenzo? Great challenge by Simoncelli, and place by Spies. Cat wait to next year with all the new seat changes. I see red next year, I think Rossi will still be at the pointy end, but not without some renewed competition. What do you think?

Well the Dr did it again! But what about that ride from Casey Stoner!!!! I think Casey will soon be on the podium once he comes to grips the Motmonster. He was on rails for the first 11 laps and then seemed to lose the flow a bit and suddenly it looked like a 250 lapping in the top 5????? obviously rossi HE'S BACK only just 6 weeks back and he's racing and he came 4th thats some going and he is also going to ducati, and italian man on an italian bike. Now i wounder if he won the world championship on that would he go down as the greatest of all time?

It comes with great regret today, to learn that Casey Stoner will retire at the end of this, 2012 season. One can fully understand the reasons for this decision, after 20 years at the circuit, however, his talent and expertise will be sorely missed. Only best wishes extended to him and his family, with hopes of seeing him still engaged with MotoGP in some way.

You have to hand it to Rossi, he may be older than most MGP riders, he may be amongst the tallest, but he can still cut the mustard and show most how it’s done. Good coverage from Channel 5 and the commentary plus Hodgkinson was very entertaining in my opinion.?? Well done Rossi. Cal Crutchlow gave a storming performance, keep it up ????

iv just watched the lastest moto gp event and boy o boy was it a race in the end my favourite rider dani pedrosa fell off on the last lap!!!and he could of won it but it was a a brilliant race!!!

Under new tyre regulations and with an 800c capacity limit MotoGP 2007 got underway at a sunny Losail circuit with a pole for Valentino Rossi (Yamaha), second place on the grid for Casey Stoner (Ducati) with the final front row slot going to Colin Edwards (Yamaha).
