I have an 8E Villiers engine I’m looking to use and wondered if anyone could give me some advice on primary gearing. I notice that Villiers Services do 15/16/17/18 primary sprockets. Any views on what would be best? I have the 4 speed box and again wondered is there is much value in extra low 2nd and 3rd gears? any advice appreciated

There's some kind of rubber seal in the bottom of Amal L2627/402 (Made in Spain) choke plunger. In my carb this seal is worn out so it doesn't work properly. From where I could get a new one plunger?

Hi....Currently have a Fantic 303 and a TY250 Mono with Grimeca front disc conversions, each one has a broken front brake lever; does anyone know how I can go about obtaining replacements ? Rgds, Mike

The Sam Cooper Union Jack Trial. Entries are now available for the second round of the Sammy Miller championship on 17th May. The trial is being staged by the Stratford-Upon-Avon Club and includes a brand new start venue at the Cotswold Farmshop & Cafe near Moreton in Marsh, it will cover a 26 mile single lap on the road with two routes. Hello, I have been trying to get a v5 for my Honda matise MH200 .1982. Having problems with the DVLA , any help really appreciated . I have vin numbers and engine numbers , but no registration number . And that is why they sent it back ! That's what I thought I was trying to get ! For £25 . Regards Bernard

A couple of minutes about her at 19 minutes in http://www.bbc.co.uk..._Fun_and_Games/ I remember her riding Bultacos in the Scottish in the 60s. If I recall correctly she had a shop, the eponymous Sportman's Emporium, selling trials bikes.

Has anyone taken a standard 175 engine bigger than 200cc? if so using what piston and to what cc?, if not what piston is used for the 200 conversion?I have a ty 175 in a box to be rebuilt and think if done right could be better than a fantic 200, so as im starting from scratch any info or experience anyone could passson would be great. cheers to all dean

Fitted parts to the cub as a dry run and found the swingarm bushes to be worn lateral play allowing swingarm to move side to side about 2mm.......have heard about a silentbloc conversion to replace the originals ...has anyone had the pleasure of fitting this type of kit ? link to kit: http://www.dcclassicmotorcycles.co.uk/parts/swinging_arm.htm Seem to be good quality .

Hello, My name is Morgan, I am 23, and live in Saskatchewan Canada. I was recently at a garage sale and saw an old bike, thinking it was a Honda Elsinore from behind. Got closer, realized it was a Montesa, owner asked me if I would like top buy it. I replied, "no, I don't have that kind of money", he laughed and said, "For $40 she is yours." So I bought it. It seems to be in decent shape, however it is missing a few bits and pieces. He had told me it did not have spark, and upon further inspection I found that the points are not opening up.
