Hello, After spending all my evenings in the week and Saturday going over the bike to get it in a good ridable condition I took it out today for the first time, it all seemed good for the first couple of hours except a false neutral I kept hitting any time I tried to go north of 4th. Then without explanation it got stuck in gear, I came to a stop and tried to find neutral, no luck, killed the engine and tried to find it but the foot pedal will move a little either way but won't disengage whatever gear it's in (I think 4th or 5th). Anyone had similar issues and/or have any instruction on gearbox/selector dismantling? Regardless of all that, I had a real good time on the…

After dwelling on the forum for a while and bargain hunting, Purchased a 2008 beta rev3250 , loads of trick bits on it , but the "CLUTCH" isn't working , or so I was told , anyhow dropped the oil this morning and it's mud brown ( obviously water in crankcase ) . Then I look at the oil drain plug and ouch I realised what I've got involved with !! Spoiler Spoiler ( sorry can't remove the spoiler box ) Any guesses what I'm going to find inside the casings ?

Not to start a big oil thread, but I was wondering if it's OK to use Motul TransOil Expert 10-40 in the engine. The dealer gave it to me, but I think he gave me the incorrect bottle. Does anybody use that stuff?

I've had a small squeak in the rear end about half way into the stroke for a few hours so went to work on the linkages yesterday. Checked all bolts - found a loose top mount. Squeak still there. Pulled the linkages apart and re-greased, 50 hours since last re-grease. Found one rear dogbone bush that's case hardening has broken up, but other than that all good. Reassembled everything. Squeak still there. Very nearly decided to just ignore it and assume it was an overflow hose or something rubbing, but resisted and kept hunting. Tightened the bash plate bolts. Still there. Checked the rear engine mount - bolt was considerably loose. Tighten that and sque…

Hi! First, sorry my bad English, I recently got a 1995 beta techno that came with a Paioli USD fork. When I was cleaning it, I noticed that it had some electrical tape between this metal part where the dust seal is mounted an the fork legs. When I removed it I noticed that this metal parts can spin and my question is if this is normal on this kind of forks. I'm attaching a picture I found online so it's easier to understand. I still haven't used the bike as I'm still repairing it but I guess the previous owner put that tape because it was losing oil from that joint? Thank you!
