In regard to the (2) ports in the case, one on the clutch side, the other on the flywheel side... My '96 Techno connected these two ports with a single line. Overflow would dribble gear oil into the flywheel side. My '04 Rev3 has 2 tubes, each going from the repective port to the ground. Interestingly, the Techno was spotless and corrosion-free under the flywheel yet my Rev3 is dry with moderate corrosion... Which plumbing is best?

The owners manual says that the brass colored screw that adjusts damping adjusts compression damping. I have adjusted mine and found it to adjust rebound damping. Is there a typo in the manual or am i incorrect.

  4. During my clutch inspection I found two steels that had lips along the outer perimeter on one side that the adjacent friction fits nicely into. These aren’t mentioned anywhere in the manuals I found, do they go in a special location in the stack? The frictions were all within spec so I reassembled as it came apart and flipped the spring washers so the raised area was nestled inside the spring, lowering the effecting preload pressure on the springs. Clutch is a lightswitch, I’m hoping to get more progressiveness in its action…. Thoughts? Skiddy

Hi all been reading about the changes done to the 07 08 rev 3 , and I was wondering if the weight that was added to the primary fly wheel could be removed for a snappy throttle response as I had a 05 rev 3 250 and liked how it was on dilivery and when I fitted the weight to that I did not like how it changed the engine character so I'm wondering if the same will be with the 08 . Thanks

  11. Hi all, could do with some assistance re an issue experienced at a trial today. I have a 2008 beta rev 3. I managed to 5 section 6 today at my local trial, what was actually quite an innocuous looking bank. The bike went down on its side (all rather slowly and painlessly) and started to gain and gain revs (second gear, rear wheel was in fresh air going ten to the dozen). First thing I noticed was that the throttle wasn't stuck open. When I eventually cut the engine, and got the bike upright, the bike would not kick over. I noticed immediately that there was no resistance/a lack of compression when I tried to kick it. Each time I kick it in neutral it's as light as a feath…

  14. Hi All, My 2008 Rev 4t needs a new water pump impeller as the plastic one has cracked and the bike is running very hot. My question is, I have seen the Apico/Jitsie upgrades for the Rev3, is anything similar available for the Rev4t? Just a suggestion for a metal impeller that fits would be great. Thanks.

Right, I recently replaced a fair few bits on my 96' Techno because the water pump seal had gone, that included the shaft as it was showing slight wear from the seal, and I did the bearings & impeller at the same time. The shaft now supplied is a 2 piece assembly with a nylon drive gear, not all steel as the original. It matched up ok, and seemed to go in fine though. However, upon reassembly and running it for a very (very) short time, there was a 'graunching'/grinding noise that I didn't like, so I stopped it quickly, and I've had the clutch out again tonight, only to find there are lots of little bits of white nylon in the bottom of the clutch case, and it woul…
