  9. The 2015 Canadian National Trials Championships are now set! This year they will be held in Muskoka, Ontario on August 1/2. This is now the 2nd year of Championships since the inception of the CMA-TAC (trials advisory committee) and it is having a major impact to how the events are run, and the level of commitment from riders. Again, the CMA is the only official National sanctioning body in Canada that is recognized by the FIM and is part of the global family under that umbrella! This years Championship will be a continuation of the new concept and atmosphere which the TAC hopes to help unite riders in our giant country! The area is one of the best there is in Ontari…

After the very successful 2015 BC Provincial Trials Championship took place this year, with record turnouts at venues like Squamish, the participating clubs are please to announce the schedule of events for 2016. We are proud to include a new venue and club for next year, and welcome the South Okanagan Dirt Bike Club. This will see member Ricky Styles and his crew treat all of the riders to a much welcome return to an important part of the province, and an opportunity to show off the clubs great riding in the OK Falls area. Being a 2 day event also distinguishes a great chance for the riders to enjoy some excellent terrain, but also take advantage of some good fun. The Sa…

As per the press release posted by the CMA, our National Sanctioning body, this years Canadian Trials Championships have been awarded to Saskatchewan and the FLTA and will be held Aug 20/21 in the small town of Bengough. It is going to be a very unique event and one that should not be missed by riders in Canada who want to experience that " European" feel without leaving the country! The entire town of Bengough will act as host to this event with many activities and festivities planned, including beer gardens for spectators, and a dinner planned for riders and workers. The 22nd running of the Outlaw Trial took place near Summerland BC on May 17/18th - as usual we had a good turn out of riders in all classes, and it was very gratifying to see Ben Buss and Matt Fracy looking after the Saturday evening kids Trial, not only are these young lads improving big time in their own riding ability, they are more than willing to help out with the work. - We had two separate loops with 18 sections on the Saturday Vintage loop and 20 sections on the Sunday loop. - each loop was approx 15-20 km long. and had a variety of "English" style sections. We saw some exceptional rides in all classes, and the campfire stories were great. - I'm sorry I don't kn…

The Canadian Trials season is now over, and one name that dominated the Intermediate class, is that of Matt Fracy, son of former Canadian Champ Steve Fracy. - Although only 12 years old Matt won his class in all of the Vancouver Island events, plus the WEC Canadian Intermediate Championship - add to this a second place overall in the PNTA Series, and it is obvious that this young lad is a star of the future.

So here I was sitting in the backyard - in my shorts - also into a cool one , and I suddenly thought about poor old Taff in Alberta - What a shame here we are, flowers blooming, grass is green and we are out riding every Sunday, but only 9hrs away, Taff will be using 4wd just to get home on the Highway. Now there is that saying in Calgary, that you only have to wait an hour for the weather to change, but the poor sods in Edmonton have had winter since last October. - No wonder all the houses in the OK Valley are being bought up by Albertans. - Did I mention I was also having a beer??

Excellent trial!, excellent venue!, excellent weather! very well laid out sections on a nice loop. I rode the D line and that was testing enough for me. Even the traffic cooperated better than expected on the trip home. Well done Dave and the organizers, a very nice day out!
