Got a oset 20r on standard Battery and charger. It won't charge. Red light on but no other or fan. So I've pulled connection s apart on charger socket and getting 60v dc. Seems a bit high. Presumed it would be around 48v dc. Is this right,

Snapped our 5th rear fender today! My boy's riding skills have really gone up so he is doing pretty amazing things on the bike now but I have had enough of buying new rear fenders! See this thread(http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/44051-oset-20-mods/), we have even tried modifying it and boiling the plastic to soften it and although it helps a lot it still snaps. Any ideas?

Hi everyone, we have a Oset 16 24v which my 9 year old girl and my 5 year old boy just love to ride,we have done the lipo conversion to it and makes it lighter and go for longer, My girl is out growing the bike ,but had a go on a friends Oset 20 thats the correct size for her and can ride no problem, she loved it , so looking around the last couple of months have seen the Mecatecno T14,looks a good design and lipos fitted as standard, not much info out there but hear they have good quality parts and well put together, also on the pictures i have seen looks like has real trials tyres, Has anyone got one,had a go on one,or even seen one, would like to hear any views on bo…

We bought the Oset 20.0 a week ago, and I know its for my kids, but I could not help ride it too. So do not get me wrong, I love the bike, I am just trying to make it more adaptable to my kids' riding abilities. The one thing I will do is add a larger brake rotor in the front as I did for the smaller 16.0 OSET -can get larger rotors with the bridge adapter at most mountain bike stores. The bike is so strong, its like a thoroughbred horse, its seems to have a mind of its own that just wants to go fast. Accordingly, a stronger front brake is appropriate to better control it, and to make it easier for my kids to do stoppies, etc.. In terms of power, while riding it at …

  6. Hi all, My lad has the Oset 20.0 and it needs a replacement throttle. Unfortunately I'm unable to locate a new one. There seems to be the earlier version which have two black connector's and the 2014 onwards later versions which appear to have the same connector's as the late 2013 version, although the grips are not the same colour. So can anyone tell me if these later versions will work or if there is another alternative or know of a supplier that stocks the late 2013 version. Many thanks Rob

Hello! I´m about to buy an Oset for myself (and my son off course) and would like someone to measure the motor - diameter and length. The reason is that I want to put in a brushless motor if there is space enough (with some mods). I´m a bit allergic to DC motors... As I have seen there is room for a bit bigger diameter than stock motor but the length is limited between the swingarm.

Hi all, Just replaced throttle on late 2013 model because previous throttle kept sticking. Now wondering if we are getting full power that should be available. When my lad tried in the past to pull a wheelie he had to pull on the handle bars like you would on a push bike as well as using full throttle, probably what caused throttle to be faulty. With the new throttle there is no improvement in the ability to pull front end up, this is with speed switch 100%, power dial on full and throttle response dial on full. My lad weighs approx 54kg. We have had the bike a few years and he has used it occasionally often commenting that it wasn't right and now thinking I should h…

My son (8 year, 30kg) rides MX but also has an Oset 20.0 R for technic training at home. It is a MY18 (bought 2019). We are the 2nd owner. I didnt reflect over top speed when I bought it because I didnt knew how fast it should go and had no speedometer. I have had a feeling during the whole Spring that something is not right with the speed. It only goes up to 21km/h while it should be speeding over 50km/h. The bike feels very strong, both when it comes to power and response. But I have nothing to compare to, so maybe it should be stronger. What I have done is, bought new batteries (it didnt help). I also screw down and put together the whole bike (and …

Hi all, I've recently bought a 2nd hand 20 racing, I believe 2016, when you open the throttle there is a very slight hesitation, its all the way through the range and adjusting the response doesn't seem to get rid of it, is this normal? my son doesn't seem notice it but it is there and must be hindering his riding. Also how to people wash their bikes? I've been told a jet wash isn't the thing to do. thanks for any help Wayne

Hi, I just purchased the bike recently and have a ton of fun with it. Only nagging issue so far is a clunking noise. I would guess it's coming from the front fork, because as I was focusing on determining where it comes from, I could link to the time when going at speed over roots, as if the fork was quickly rebounding to the maximum extended length. It almost feels that there's no top-off springs, but rather like a metal bushing would hit a metal stopper lip in the tubes. I am running 10psi pressure and tried the rebound setting everywhere from min to max without any positive impact on the issue. Bike is in warranty, but dealer is almost 2hrs drive aw…

After reading a few other posts on this topic I understand there are a few niggles with the oset throttle control. My problem though sounds a bit different to others who have posted. Having adjusted the 'throttle response' adjuster throughout it's range; when the throttle is chopped the bike continues to pull or drive forward for anything between 1 and 4 to 5 seconds depending on 'throttle response' adjuster setting. Having had the oset 12.5 with an ordinary petrol engine type throttle response my 5 year old has found his new bike uncontrollable and to be honest unrideable. Can anyone confirm it has a fault or are there adjustments elsewhere not listed in the manual.

My son is eight and is the final year of the D Class. He is a reasonably good little rider, riding the hard route in OSET Cup events and in Adult events the Sportsman route. Due to his physical size we haven't moved onto a Beta 80 like the majority of his friends. OSET bikes have been fantastic for us, he has had the 12.5R, the 16R and now the 20R but now his friends are on petrol hikes and he is getting flustrated with the bike. He finds it hard to find traction despite me running about 2 to 6psi, depending on the conditions and venue. We run two rim locks on the rear with a Cheng Shin tyre (I am not aware of any other tyre option, is there?). But I think the m…

Hi guys, Thanks for your help in advance. Our Oset 20R has been running strong but all of a sudden weak power to rear wheel. I’ve read all forum topics and similar symptoms point to a faulty throttle. This happened last year and a new throttle solved the problem. So this time I bought another throttle and I’ve installed a brand new throttle and doesn’t help. I’ve run all diagnostic tests from the Oset you tube troubleshooting vids (I think there were 12 videos approximately). Everything passes the test with ohms meter. Batteries all strong, relay clicking, fuse seems to look good and work, etc. Oset powers on, all 3 throttle lights light up, I hear relay click und…

My daughters 20r seems to have developed an annoying intermittent fault, she has complained that it has seemed to very occasionally lose power for an instant and we put this down to a dodgy on/off switch (now renewed). After a very wet and muddy practise last weekend I washed the bike off and dried it but found that the bike's throttle was sticking (it snapped back but the motor kept going?) After checking all the connections and cleaning them and putting dielectric grease on them the bike had no power, it ran as if the battery was flat before coming back to life. This has happened a few times now - Any ideas?

Hi guys, is the 3" tyre sold by Oset still the only option, or is there a better / grippier alternative, same for the front as well?

  17. Started by original,

Hi All, My son has a Oset 20 Racing, I believe it’s a 2016. He’s been competing in schoolboys events for approx. 6 months on the bike, the club has acquired a new piece of ground which has more hills. We went to a trial last Saturday at this new venue. When my son opened the throttle the bike accelerates as it should and he was carrying enough speed to easily reach the top, but when he’s nearing the top of the hill the bike completely cuts out, no power at all and he falls off, when I picked him up the bike worked completely as normal. All it needed to "reset" was to close throttle. The bike did this on every largish hill for the next 4 sections, event…

Hi everyone!! sorry for bother you with this old issue, but i noted that you guys knows a lot about this...i want to upgrade the battery and after reading a lot ...still not sure if my solution it will work....: i would use 4 x High Capacity 20000mAh 4S 12C Lipo Pack.... my questions are: 1.- are they power enough? (i ask, because you explained in other thread that maybe dont release the spected power for a 20r oset) 2.- I 've read a lot about built in BMS...this packs doesnt have built in BMS ....it enough with the charger have some kind of BMS ? (for balance charge, voltage protect etc) or you recomend buy something else for battery monitoring? …
