Just bought the official GG repair kit for a 2012 TXT and was surprised to find that they don’t come with the round pin that connects the shaft to the drive so if you are changing yours make sure you don’t damage the pin when removing it. Rang around and nobody has the pin in stock in the U.K.

alright everyone i just cant get my bike to idle right atall and when i get it to run, any time i try to give it fuel the power lags (like if you havent got the air box on correct) then i get fuel comeing out my airbox.i have clear'd all jets and put everthing back in place a few times but cant get anywere.makes me think its to do with my air/fuel mixture ,ive tryed to ajust it but the carb keeps flooding. this problem came out the blue when i was going out one day i heat the bike up in the morning and it was fine , pulled it out the van and it wouldent go can you guys help ? please

Hi all live got a 2003 gas gas 280 , I’ve had the clutch replaced when I had the crank case bearing done about two weeks ago at a trial at the weekend after about a hour the clutch was slipping in all gears , the oil has no contamination , I have noticed that the clutch piston has some Oil seeping out and the oil is turning a black colour could this leak be what the slipping is ie not enough pressure to release it’s a formula clutch and have been told these are not good and to get a ajp mineral one as this is what should have been on it regards Michael

I'm not a Gasser fan, but reluctantly agreed to get the young un a 125 Pro for his move into 'B' Class. Its an 08 model and has up until this last weekend been 'trouble free'. However, after the trial had finished last Sunday, I noticed (a) Oil p***ing out of the joint between clutch cover and gearbox casing (later traced to suspect gasket) and ( Nil oil visible in sight glass. Obviously a fair amount of oil has leaked out during the trial. It's still under warranty and the dealer is doing the gasket repair, but should I worry about the damage done (if any) to the gear box??? Has any body out there suffered similar woes???

i have a gas gas jtx 250 its had new 5w oil and seals in the front forks and had rear shock checked and working perfect but put the heaver black spring on it as red was to weak for me. i am new to trials but would like to set my suspension up i have set the preload om the rear at 12 clicks which is half way and i have set the compression and dampening on the front forks 9 clicks on compression half way and 10 on dampening which is half way i weigh 16.5 stone with all my gear. any advice how to set the suspension up please guys ie sag ect cheers dan

I have an aircooled Gasser with the alloy, push in carb, type reed block. I think it is an 88 model. Is it possible to change to a later rubber version for a better seal and if so from which model. Also where can air filters be bought from? Thanks

Eventually had my 280 running at the weekend but realised the fan wasn’t kicking in. Tested the fan on a 12v supply all good. Looking at a wiring diagram, the yellow supply should come up to then thermo switch and then to the rectifier to supply the fan via the red and blue plug. The yellow supply on mine was straight into the rectifier and then out via the other yellow to the thermo switch and then earthed the other side. Is this correct or has been botched previously. I don’t seem to have a green earth either on the fan plug as in the diagrams. I’ve just purchased another rectifier as the wires were hanging by a thread on mine but it’s the same as in the pic.

Hi Anybody know the measures on the fork seals for the Cadet? I measured the old one to 33x45x10 mm, but it seems that the Cadet has 32mm forks, so I guess my measuring wasnt correct (enough). Thanks -Jan

Hi all, Doing a refresh on a 2010 I picked up last year. The decals are sort of mishmash and a few scratches. I figured it wouldn't hurt to pick up a new set of decals. I'm seeing '09 and '11 on ebay. Would they both fit or no? I'm not too sure how the plastics have changed over the years.

I recently got a 2006 Gas Gas txt 300 pro. The manual says to check the gearbox oil by unscrewing the sightglass and using the dipstick. There's no way this can be correct. How do I go about checking this oil level?

Hi Does anyone know if they do a flywheel weight for the 125 TXT ? I see lots listed for 250 and above but not sure on 125 ? Thanks in advance

As above… cases are split to do the gearbox bearings and replace the o-rings in the gearbox crank seal side (all good, just worn o-rings appear to be the source of burning gear oil). Anything particular to watch out for when reassembling? Never done it but between the KTM manuals and the Jim Snell videos, should be able to figure it out. Any pointers welcome.

Hi to everyone out there,my GG 280 pro 05 has got play on the swingarm bearings,does anybody know the size of the bearings.I know you can buy the linkege bearings off ebay but i dont know if the swingarm bearings are in the kit.As i've just put linkege bearings & seals in just be for xmas i was hoping some one might know the sizes so i can go to my local bearing outlet & buy some. THANKS.

I was unable to get a decent front brake on my 1997 JTR GG until I rode for 5 mins with the brake applied then quenched the disc and caliper with water. Brake now ok. Why did this work and is it a permanent fix?

Anyone know how long the actuator pin should be in the Mineral Clutch Master Cylinder on a 06 bike. The pin I had fitted is 20mm, and the clutch drags a bit. Swapped it today with the Front brake pin which comes in at 22.25mm, seems to give more throw and releases the clutch much better. Just want to check that the longer pin isn't 'over driving' the piston in the master and going to cause me a problem later?

This looks like it broke off the frame and was holding the mid pipe. Id like a pic if anyone has one available to share so i can try and get it repaired correctly. Thanks

Hi. Does anyone know which side the fattest space goes on rear wheel. Mine had it on the sprocket side but the brake disc is rubbing the right side of caliper so was thinking previous owner may have put them in wrong way around

Hey all pretty much sorted with this txt pro 280 2002 ! Running sweet , just one thing though when ever I am going up and over obstacles even small logs the bike is cutting out .. I'm a pretty new rider but it bugging me . Up and over a log then cuts out on landing it ... Any ideas

petcock on my gasgas jtx 250 (1997) is leaking badly . where can i find a new one or something to fit in ?

anything i should know before i open them up? and can i put some thicker oil in them to help them bear my 19st weight a little easier?
