Does anyone know why the ossa web site is not working

Anyone else a bit dissapointed in the stock narrow and short bashplate? I think OSSA made it too small to save weight. My bike has seen a lot of riding abuse and I found mine has very much worn out a great deal of footpeg lower parts and frame, some serious dents on the suspension linkage too: Plus also I put on a flywheel weight that made my gear lever stick further out w/o protection, hence decided to get a wider and longer bash plate. Thankfully Mark (jkmr1) in this forum has made a laser-cut wider bashplate speciefically for OSSA for a very decent price and sent me one from OZ. I have a 2012 Explorer with the original air filter, which just I cleaned, and now can't get the sensor seated back into it. I even tried to heat up the rubber (w/blow dryer), but still can't get it pushed all of the way in. Any tricks? I spoke to Lewisport and they can't get the upgrade kit (2013+ with the top screw). I did get the secondary air filter, which is good as I am not sure I'll take this one off again ;-) Thanks!

Triggered by a discussion in the GasGas forum: on an Ossa TR the rpm measurement is available from the ECU (according to documentation standard on CH1). Might be really simple to use that signal and transfer it to a digital display? Probably not really useful ( ) but could be a nice gadget. Did anyone ever consider it?

Is there an emissions sticker for these bikes? I couldn't see it anywhere... I have a 2012 Explorer, but I suspect that TR280i would have it in the same location. Thanks!

Hi, recently bought a 2012 Explorer and have read a ton of posts, but have a few questions: What is the lowest tire pressure I can run? I read lotus54 put in a tubless system (I have this in my dirtbike). But, since this is a trials bike, I am wondering how low I can go w/o pinch flats... (The online manual seems to say about 7 & 10 PSI (.5/.6 bars) That seems a lot for the rear tire) What about initial suspension setup for trials riding? and then for trails? The manual doesn't seem to have anything on this at all. I know I need to experiment, but I really need a starting point for ~160lbs. Does the rear shock need a special tool or can I re-use someth…

Help!!! I'm in the process of rebuilding the front wheel and am having problems respoking. I've done all of the inners and one set of the outers but the last set don't line up with the rim, they sit about an inch away from the rim. This is the side opposite the brake side. Can anyone explain where I've gone wrong? The only explanation I can think is that there is an offset, but there didn't seem to be one when I stripped the wheel. Cheers in anticipation, Nigel.

My OSSA dealer gave me both stock 5-degree and an "experimental" 15-degree butterfly along with Btwice throttle body. Looks really interesting: 15-degree butterfly is oval with angled edges and thus starts from more off-angle position and regulates the air flow in a more "progressive" fashion vs stock. I wonder with TPS having larger starting angle yet the engine gets less air (= theorethically richer mixture on low-rpms as it gets more rapidly leaner when opening up the throttle) if it improves bottom end delivery as well? Hello, I have a gap between the cover and the casing,is this comon? I fill the casing with water when i wash the bike. I have seen both carbon and magnesium covers,any sugestions?

So I got the Btwice flyweel kit and started to fit it but stumbled on two issues: 1) while nice kit there are no fixing bolts included (kit only comes with the weight and the cranckase extender shim) 2) Original gear shifter doesn't fit with extended crankcase size (it's against the magneto door and you can only shift downwards, upward's it's stuck against the door) How did you overcome those two issues: What bolts did you use to fix the weight on magneto w/o it going out of balance? Did you have to remove the magneto to fix it (manual states some special tool needed for this, can it be done without the special tool?) …

My TR280i came with those short custom made levers installed by the previous owner: I really like the feel on them and after also doing some research those are very custom made levers made by Finnish premium manufacturer, you can't even buy them anywhere (special order only). It's for the earlier OSSA fuel-injected models that tend to be hard to start. Since the original thread is 24 pages and very hard to follow and confusing OSSAs own easy-start mod with various DIY mods or tweaks, here I'll put down a simple DIY mod into a single thread: You need: - 9V battery - 9V battery holder or connector - switch (or even better if a Yamaha-type kill-switch) - little bit of light wiring (some 5-10 inches total or a little more if you route to handlebar killswitch) - some longer straps to fix the battery (and for the switch if you don't use kill-switch) And a mandatory very important note to any DIY mod: DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! Hi All, I've always liked how the ossa TR280 rides after a brief ride on one last year , and have had my eye out for a good second hand one to purchase. But after whats happened and reading the posts on "Kokusan Denki No More" What are peoples genuine opinions on taking the plunge and buying one ? ie. Well, with OSSA in difficulty also Kokusan Denki (the japanese maker of OSSA's fuel injection system) name is gone, it's now bought by german Mahle corporation I see on their web page: Effective January 1, 2016, the company name of Kokusan Denki Co., Ltd. has changed into “MAHLE Electric Drives Japan Corporation” Good thing is Mahle is very good quality stuff, I've bought filters etc consumables from Mahle for my BMWs (they're OEM producer for BMW too) and really top notch quality, so I don't see it being a problem. Anyone have any instructions how to maintain those Marzocchi forks on the newer Ossa TR-series? Mine's 2013 model with fairly good amount of usage, so thought about doing some maintenance on the forks. Haven't found any instructions how to open 'em Marzocchi aluminium forks, seal replacement, how much oil or any oil level marker on filling? Any info, photos or links on this would be highly apreciated! TIA, Margus

Anybody know which wire is grounded to earth via a kill switch on an MAR ?

Anyone thought of studding their tyres on their TR-series for some more serious winter fun? I have many frozen lakes around for sliding practice, plus my own garden to play, both are very icy and slippery during the winter. With stock trails tyres it's too much slipping, especially the front end. So I though studding the tyres. Anyone done this on a trails bike? I see many kits around - screw-in type of studs. I guess the problem is the rear since it's tubless (albeit tube can be fit there too I reckon).
