Don't know where I've been the last year that I haven't seen this machine ! I guess UNDER a log Anyway , I am VERY interested in buying one for my next bike ,like in a couple months. I am used to FI , we have been running it on our MX bikes and race quads since about 2002 Is there any way an individual can remap this bike? No dealer anywhere close , maybe 300 miles. What is the parts avail in the US ? How has the reliability been? Anything else I need to know?

Have a 72 OSSA MAR and looking for 7 or 8 inch high bars (7/8 inch OD) preferably in the USA but doesn't need to be.

I believe the carb on my 72 OSSA is a Makuni (VM26) . Cleaned the carb completely and for the most part the bike runs pretty good with the exception of a sticking throttle and good idle some times not good other times. The throttle linkage isn't new but seems to work real well. Most of the time the linkage works freely and I can hear the slide shut but sometimes it gets stickty. Is it possible that my internal carb spring is too weak? Just in case it matters for some reason, I am not able to get the the adjusting screw that moves the slide to make much difference no matter where it is located. Right now I have a pretty much stock 72 MAR. It has what appears to be a stock four inch high bar and stock foot pegs. I am new to trials but I believe that I want to be slightly more erect. I have read it suggested to move the pegs down appx. three inches (weld plate to frame) for a lower center of gravity, but I have also been told that it is better to raise the handle bars instead and leave the peg height stock to maintain clearance to the side of the skid plate. Any suggestions whether to go up (raise handle bars), or down (lower pegs), or both would be appreciated. Hi there, can anyone tell me how and where to fit a kill switch on a 1968 Ossa Stiletto. The only wiring on the bike is from the magneto to the coil/regulator and from there to the plug cap.

Hi, Last year I picked up a cheap 250MAR 1974/5 and promptly fell off first time out due to my own incompetence. I'm fairly new to trials but the Ossa definately did not react the same way as my Beta Rev3 when I went up a gentle bank. The result was much pain, blood, 8 stitches, more pain, then a very nasty hospital infection with lots more pain... and it also put me off work for 75 days....did I mention the pain? I have just got a 350 TR80 and its missing the front end of the brake linkage, the bit that goes behind the frame and ( I think) under the swing arm, does any one have a picture of one so I cane make one ?

Right now to shift into first with the clutch lever pulled, it sort of snaps into gear. Here are my questions: I read where it says that I should have 1/16 inch of play at the clutch lever on the case. I have 1/8 inch. Should I adjust this down to 1/16 inch? If so, how do I keep the clutch from turning while I loosen the clutch adjusting nut. Also, how much play should I have at the clutch lever? If I have the correct play at the lever on the case, is this the play that I should have at the hand lever? Also, my idle might be a little high. So, is my current 1/8 inch OK and I just need to get the idle down? Thanks for any help on this.

The previous owners did a good job of wiping out the exhaust threads on the side of the cylinder. One previous owner had rigged the exhaust ring to be held on with four small springs that also attach to the cylinder fins. The ring is held in place but since there isn't much left of the threads, it does leak some exhaust gas. How bad is this for running since most of what I will be doing is slow speed? Are there any short term fixes and what is the best long term fix? Thanks for any help on this. Jim

I have just become the owner of a new Ossa 280. I have coveted this bike for many months and its finally a reality. But I just cannot start it. Others have. But I seem unable to find the trick to it. Can anyone help me. My soles are bruised and battered and the bike sits looking like a bitchy virgin on her wedding night. Help me.

I just acquired a 72 MAR that seems in pretty good shape. It does smoke a bit and drip some oil so I understand that I need to do the crank seals and gaskets. What special tools do I need to do this? Also any tips would be greatly appriciated. When it is all tight, what is best to run in the gear box? I have some Redline MTL. It was missing the decompressor but I found one NOS. Does the decompressor go in the hole at an angle to the ground? Thanks for any help on this. Jim in Folsom, CA

I think the Ossa looks to be very innovative and cool. But I have a question about the frame. I have done some research and am unable to find the answer. Frame: CR-MO steel tube profile with pipe and bottom made of cast aluminium So how are these cast aluminum pieces attached to the CR-MO steel tubes? I can't see any bolts. Am i blind, daft or just missing something? Also any concern of damage to the lower portion of the fuel tank with having the skid plate mounted to it? Could be quite a bit of stress on the lower part of fuel tank with the skid plate being bashed and bending around a bit.

Without question everything is not rosey at ossa but ffs they finished the ssdt and (I am guessing here) emma bristow won the ladies event last weekend. then theres the cabby/raga type special called a Fajardo anyone know why its a secret? Maybe they have only just got the internet in cumbria but the pr in the uk is rubbish. Why? maybe the faults if there are any are so big they don't want to mention the bike at all but its a new bike its not going to be perfect and its streets ahead of the Sherco-greeves.

Not sure if this has been posted up here, as I ain't seen it, but seems Sergio has mave it over to the factory and got some nice pic's and some videro up on his site. I was goin to comment on a few the pics, but I see he has them coptrighted and such, and you just need to see them all anyways. I see a lot of really cool stuff there. Seems they are doing a top job on things. The design is radical by most standards, but at the same time, I likee a lot of things about it, and as an old Ossa fan, well, It does make one a bit proud that they are doing it! If nothing else,it is just friggin cool! Ck this out!
