Four-Stroke

Hy 4 RT riders I am a happy 4 RT rider since November. I just heard from my local dealer, that I should be careful and never let the cicker lever snap back, it might cause a nasty hole. A new and stronger stop screw should be fitted in, but needs drainage of oil etc and some hours of work, done by Honda warranty. Otherwise I m a very happy clubmen rider, like the power delivery of the 4 stroke and the injection. After 6 years on a Cota 315, I don't want to go back to 2 stroke (except for twinshock trials of course...) So, take care after cicking and ask your local dealer about this problem. Pat

A lot of people seem concerned about the volume of the new breed fourbanger pipes,dont any of you ride when there is a pre 65 class? You colud hardly call a triumph trophy or a cub for that matter quiet,but the noise they create is marvelous,I cant wait for a new banger (still wringing the kneck off my scorpa 125 f,poor thing,i am 17 stone)

Ishy, this would be a good one for you to answer. You still have yours right? Always wanted one, but wonder what they would be like to ride. A guy as old as me could even drop down and ride in the senior class with one of those thumpers!

fugi wins again could a fourstroke win the world champs in only its second year? everone was verry vocal when they came on the scene,but now theye are giving raga a run for his money its all gone quiet. come on fugi (prefferably doug but fugi will do)fly the fourstroke flag HIGH>>>

Are there any differences between carbs fitted to two strokes and 4 strokes? For example I have a spare Mikuni originally fitted to a Beta Zero, can I fit it to a four stroke honda engine? I understand the jetting may need changing but is there any other differences I need to be aware of. I ask because I seem to remember that Amal concentrics are engine type specific.

Yup, I've deleted two threads on the subject, but feel an explanation is necessary. Firstly Sherco were not happy that this was published as it was unofficial. I contacted them and said I was NOT going to publish it without their approval. I did (reluctantly) get clearance from them to post the video from the 15th, but as the smallest part of this video was 19Mb and, in my opinion, not worth the valuable bandwidth and inevitable slowdown of the site for other users, I decided not to post it. Not much trials stuff at the Bike Show (NEC). But almost hidden in a dark corner on the Michelin stand is the four stroke 320 Sherco. Neat job, real slim. As no-one was about we tested the weights comparing it with the two smoke alongside. Not a lot in it really, only a few pounds. Managed to miss the trials display though.......
