Hello all. Off to Barcelona on Thursday for a few days to take in the sights and the indoor trial on Sunday. A few questions: is there an enduro round on earlier in the evening? Are there any sights to see in general and places to visit (especially for trials related stuff, museams, bike shops etc?) Cheers

Hi, I'm looking at riding in the Ventoux Classic trial in the south of France in October. Due to a severe lack of holidays left at work for the year, the only way I'm going to be able to do it is by saving time travelling by flying over. Obviously this means I will have no bike! I just thought it would be worth asking if anyone was travelling over for this comp from the UK, or knew anyone that was, that might have room for another bike in their van in exchange for some help towards their travelling costs? Fingers crossed!

Just thought I´d get this forum space started by inquiring if there are any locals close to me, near Manresa, that fancy letting a near novice into their ranks or are located near here. I often transport the bike up to Sant Julià de Cerdanyola, closer to the Pyrénées for the ultimate trial runs. Beautiful routes, with a beautiful backdrop. Rutes bonic, …

Anybody looking to do a very good classic trial should consider the Joel Correy organised trial at Arbercy 22--23 August. Two day trial, 60 sections and around 25 miles of interzone. Meals and rock band organised for the Saturday night. There will be four routes ( Three usually for pre 65 ) and having done this trial before its excellent. Contact Joel at Trail 70 Vesoul for further details and entries ..

I have been informed that the Sardent club along with other sponsers are organising a Classic pre 65 trial the weekend of 6 th and 7 th September. It is being headlined as a trial suited to the more original bikes with sections to suit, although everybody is welcome on the understanding the trial will have traditional sections favoring the less modified bikes. As the pre 65 scene is relatively small this side of the channel, I have been asked to post this to see if it would be of interest to any British riders fancying a long weekend in France taking in the wine, sunshine and the countryside. Sardent is around six hours south of Calais, alredy hosts a very popular cla…

Just on the off chance someone out there might be interested. The Easter weekend 15 th 16th April we are organising a classic trial here in the best bit of the Dordogne. Just a few km's from Sarlat, 20 sections of fantastic quality, with a ride round of 20 odd km's. Might even be an excuse to get away, you won't be disappointed. We will accept modern bikes for over 40 riders.. all non stop. Camping is avaliable from Friday until Monday with toilets, and an evening Saturday night meal is arranged to help empty the French wine lake. Further details available by PM

  12. On the off chance that someone reading this might want to visit this beautiful region at the end of April, and just might be able to sneak a bike onto the rack or into the motorhome, we are running for the fourth time our Classic trial. It is planned for the weekend of the 28 th and 29th. It is open to all classic classes with three routes easy, bit harder, and a little bit harder still. We will take riders on modern bikes over 50 officially, but any younger Brits wanting ride in this class, due to Brexit I will relax the rules.. You can enter on the day, you can camp on site, and if you so wish you can join us in emptying the French wine lake on Saturday evening enjoy…

Anyone going this weekend? I am still trying to make my mind up. It's a bit under three hours from Calais. Weather looks cracking and Belgian beer there too! Missus is hobbling about after stacking the Beta on Sunday so looking for something less energetic - could be ideal.

  14. This is a long shot... If anyone's going to the Creuse 4 day trial in France from the Scunthorpe area I'd be massively grateful if you could transport a box of about 20?ish classic motorcycle magazines to the trials venue at Sardent where I could pick them up and thereby save about £50 in postage costs. Being a poverty stricken old age pensioner, I'd be happy to pay around £20 for petrol money.
