European Trials

Hello all. Off to Barcelona on Thursday for a few days to take in the sights and the indoor trial on Sunday. A few questions: is there an enduro round on earlier in the evening? Are there any sights to see in general and places to visit (especially for trials related stuff, museams, bike shops etc?) Cheers

Whilst quite a while off, the dates have been set for the Classic trial in Mont Ventoux Provence for the 14th and 15 th October. Those who fancy a European adventure this comes highly recommended, for how it all works, and information please look at previous posts here over the last two years. Regs normally come out around the end of July, and its advisable to get in early with entry and booking accommadation .

i had an invitation from my friend on here (guys) to go over and see his club's trial in genk. its only an hour and half drive for me so i though it would make a nice trip out for me and the little dog! it is the Trial club Maaskant, held at the great site in genk. i had the opertunity to chat to some of the other members and observers, all very welcoming and friendly, (i must improve my dutch!) thanks all, and Guy! i hope once i have bought myself another bike i will also compete, easy to start with! ha ha! anyway here are some pictures, enjoy! looking for a website for trials events, enduro and road/circuit racing would be a bonus too ...off to tour France late August by 1992 Honda Revere again (remember them?) or new fangled high tech Wee Strom not sure which yet, so would be great to take in a trial etc Then off to Northern Spain. cheers guys

Anyone going this weekend? I am still trying to make my mind up. It's a bit under three hours from Calais. Weather looks cracking and Belgian beer there too! Missus is hobbling about after stacking the Beta on Sunday so looking for something less energetic - could be ideal.

Can anyone suggest any websites or clubs that I can contact as a group of Southern middle aged clubman would like to wobble and fall off around Southern Belgium later in the year? Somewhere in the Ardennes or Namur etc would be good.

I have been informed that the Sardent club along with other sponsers are organising a Classic pre 65 trial the weekend of 6 th and 7 th September. It is being headlined as a trial suited to the more original bikes with sections to suit, although everybody is welcome on the understanding the trial will have traditional sections favoring the less modified bikes. As the pre 65 scene is relatively small this side of the channel, I have been asked to post this to see if it would be of interest to any British riders fancying a long weekend in France taking in the wine, sunshine and the countryside. Just thought I´d get this forum space started by inquiring if there are any locals close to me, near Manresa, that fancy letting a near novice into their ranks or are located near here. I often transport the bike up to Sant Julià de Cerdanyola, closer to the Pyrénées for the ultimate trial runs. Beautiful routes, with a beautiful backdrop.
