  1. I was thinking the other day that I wonder what the top trials riders get as a salary? What do you think the likes of Bou, Raga, Fajardo etc would get paid?

    Trs Bike Unveiled

    Liking the colour combination there
  3. I'm heartened no one chose to mock this question. Truly a good day in the Trials community

    Trs Bike Unveiled

Yes that is a fair point. It doesn't have the visual prowess that we were expecting I agree, but the test is when you get on it. Lets judge it then As I said, GG riders should try it out and see what they think for sure...

    Trs Bike Unveiled

Wow! Aren't trials riders so fickle? How many threads on this forum have been about riders wanting a reliable, conventional and easy to fix machine with good support and when one comes along, it's berated? .. and all you have done thus far is look at some pictures? Think about it from a small business perspective with limited development funds. You must spend the money wisely and in this instance, not take too many risks. As I understand it, the work has gone into the bikes balance and power delivery which after Ross rode it for the first time, said it was pretty good. I suggest anyone who is currently a gasser rider should get a go on one and it would be interesting to hear their views.
  6. No idea why KTM would bother producing a petrol engined machine when Electric is the way to go. That's what the kids are riding and they are the future...
  7. How hard is it to talk to people ? I cannot understand at all why this businessman is throwing good money away by not talking to the market he needs to serve. !
  8. Why would they want GG ? They have good engineers who could easily develop a trials bike and lets face it, it isn't too hard is it.. Forks/ suspension/ wheels/ brakes/clutch/electrics are all bought-in items with the only bespoke items to design being the chassis and the engine. They would take some work to design and develop but that's really the extent of it and KTM could do that without too many problems. I would think punters would get excited if KTM say they are going to build a bike of their own from scratch but not if they bought GG and dished out the same machine we already know, that wouldn't excite any punter IMHO
  9. What was his alternative? - He has a country to feed and keep healthy. If he went back to the Drachma, it would take too long to implement and there would be a humanitarian disaster. Also talk of spending 'taxpayers' money is bollox. They will just print a load more just like they do in this country and every other one.. Fractional reserve banking at its best
  10. So when the Wright brothers first flight flew for just 12 seconds and covered 120 feet a lot of people mocked them too ! Innovation takes great visionary minds and fortunately for you, there are other people who have them http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-33481505
  11. A family is at the dinner table. The son asks the father, “Dad, how many kinds of boobs are there?” The father, surprised, answers, “Well, son, a woman goes through three phases. In her 20s, a woman’s breasts are like melons, round and firm. In her 30s and 40s, they are like pears, still nice, hanging a bit. After 50, they are like onions.” “Onions?” the son asks. “Yes. You see them and they make you cry.” This infuriated his wife and daughter. The daughter asks, “Mom, how many different kinds of willies are there?” The mother smiles and says, “Well, dear, a man goes through three phases also. In his 20s, his willy is like an oak tree, mighty and hard. In his 30s and 40s, it’s like a birch, flexible but reliable. After his 50s, it’s like a Christmas tree.” “A Christmas tree?” the daughter asks. “Yes, dead from the root up and the balls are just for decoration.”
  12. Ask yourself, why as 'intelligent' animals have we created a society that is based on working for the most part of our lives. How many other species do this for anything besides shelter or food supply? I always put forward the argument that dinosaurs lived on this planet for circa 135 million years with tiny brains and who died out through no fault of their own. Yet modern humans, with significant intelligence and who have only been around 200,000 years, created a society whereby we need to work our nuts off just to have a basic existence, and if you do not abide by these rules, you will live in abject poverty living on the streets or get locked up in prison. Humans will also probably be extinct in 10,000 years or less. This is what intelligence does for you eh? Well you can keep it ! The plight of the Greeks just goes to show how f****d up all this is ..... As I quoted earlier, "Humans first, Banks second"
  13. I said to the missus, " I'm off out to the pub so get your coat on" " she said " Am I coming then?" I said , " No, I'm turning the heating off "
  14. I heard a guy on the radio say something quite poignant I thought .. he said " First you must take care of the Humans, then the banks .. "
  15. The Xbox/Playstation thing is a temporary fad, people will get fed up with it and want proper adventure again.. You just need to look at the variety of youtube videos of young people doing extreme stuff and how it inspires young people. It's only a matter of time ..
  16. I heard a feminist joke today that made me chuckle An Afghan lady was walking 20ft behind her husband when a renowned feminist said to her, "We have fought for years since the suffragette to get women's rights and be equals with men so you can walk beside you husband... So why are you back to the dark ages and walking 20ft behind him again? She leant over and whispered in her ear .. " Land mines"
  17. Yes absolutely ! And I think you would agree, as he has been the JGAS #1 rider since its release to the market, there will not be anyone better to judge me thinks. When the JGAS first came out, the main issue was that it was lacking in power, ( especially after coming off a tuned Gasser 300) and that got better over time but never quite to the level of what he was use to. 'I understand ' that the TRS is more like a gasser in power delivery and therefore most gasser riders would probably want to give it a try. The one difference was the balance was very good and that has been achieved with the TRS as well 'I understand' I for one am glad that after the demise of GASGAS, (for now anyway) that there is someone else out there willing to enter the market with a new machine. We know the pedigree of Jordi Tarres is right up there so we should expect something good
  18. I understand that testing of the TRS in Spain has been very impressive. It has more power and zip than a JGAS and the balance is spot on. We know Jordi Tarres can design a good bike but he may have just gone one better with his new baby
  19. I actually think it will sell bikes - It seems trials riders are obsessed with getting a machine that can perform and is reliable. So prove to the world it can perform and is reliable, and people will buy them IMHO Raga on a TRS is great news - Ross on one too. I think people will like the bike when they see it especially if they liked the JTG.
  20. But they HAVE had orders from people here in the UK and not delivered. Why is that?
  21. The Jgas is undoubtedly a good bike - It's certainly better than a GasGas in terms of quality and ride-ability. Just look at Ross Danbys results on one . Way better than what he achieved on a GasGas! but what is the owner doing? Why go through all that time and money producing a good bike and then walk away from your customers? One question... If the company is still going, who is buying the bikes? On a more uplifting note, It's clear that Jordi Tarres can design a bike so we should expect the TRS to be as good, if not better than one. Let's hope it is and the business does well for Steve who put in the work for the Jgas brand and was let down
  22. I have no idea why people think that China is only interested in large volumes these days? In the early days of Chinese imports into the West, it was the larger companies with the resources who could forge the way. These days with Alibaba.com , there are small companies selling everything and they are starting to ship in smaller numbers too and the price difference in a lot of cases is unbelievable compared to European prices. The long term economics for European countries will no doubt be negatively affected by this but that's another thread on its own ...

    Vertigo

With the current Issues at GG and the lack of a UK importer for JGAS, I would think this is the best possible time to exploit the market for Vertigo. I certainly would be all over this situation right now if it was me so I hope things start moving pretty quickly here on in....
