I honestly think an Eighth title is beyond Doug and I think he knows that too.. but I do believe a realistic achievement would be to get the 100th win and where better than at Hawkstone. If he gets it sooner I ain't bothered, but I think all of us (except Eddie ) would love him to do it.. I am sure he will be happy with that riding against the current crop of great riders.

And was his riding as bad in real life as it was in the vid?

Section 1
Well that's an interesting comment as at the same trial last year that you refer to, Cabestany was giving a 5 (on section 15 I think? and which was very much discussed on here) for going outside 'an imaginary line' Trialscentral Supporter Details Here

Spanish World Round
I'm on your side on this Pete but in reality, you give these guys an inch and they will take a mile. There is simply too much at stake. Its not a club trial after all.

I am almost 100% certain health permitting, we will see Dougie get his 100th win this year.

Spanish World Round
Personally I think it was taking things way too far. I certainly don't blame the riders. I'd have tried the same stunt myself in that position. The point I was trying to make was that the Clerk of the course clearly intended the two reds to mark the side of a climb.... NOT a gate through which the riders could travel and go off into the woods for a joy ride before rejoining the section at the top. Well he simply wasn't clear enough. To be clear you MUST tape. Its the only way

Which New Bike ?
How much maintenance do you want to do?

New Impreza Confirmed
- Spanish World Round
Cant blame the riders for taking advantage of a poorly laid out section. The CoC cocked up. Simple as that. If he wanted them to go up there and not go anywhere else he should have taped it. Although, if you remember at Hawkstone when Cabestany got a 5 for straying outside the line on that man made rock section (was it 15?) Inconsistency in marking is part of trials and always will be.- Spud's Topic
NooOOooOoOoooo. Don't say that . I will never hear the end of it- James Dabill
I dont think he will move up . Time will tell. IMHO- New Impreza Confirmed

Yup, I had my knuckles firmly rapped Heres a link to the vid- James Dabill
Blazusiak whilst a good rider, was never going to get to the level the top guys are at. Fajardo is an interesting one as I thought we would see him get better but he appears to have stagnated.- Bet Toni Would Have Got Up?
What prize do they get if they get to the top? probably their life would be one!- New Bike Possibly
I hate to sould like an oldie Gaz but if you want a bike to commute, wouldn't it be better to get a road bike with a fairing? I use to have a ZX10 and used it to commute from Hampshire to Shropshire in the late 80's. There would be no way I would want to do the same trip on that thing!- Trophies Or Not?
The fishing world runs a similar sort of thing. The basic rules are, the club has to enter the competition, it has to run 10 matches a year and there has to be at least 30 people fishing each match, the top 3 in each match score points, the results are added up throughout the year and at the end 1 winner becomes the UK club champion, its a very competitive thing and winning it is about as high an award as the normal club angler could ever possibly win, it has a big tackle company as sponser, a similar thing could work well in our world. Or how about 1 end of year trial held somewhere central, winning your club championship gets you an entry, Clubman of the year, has a nice ring to it. Some good ideas there ScottT , The only trouble is as usual, the people who would be organising this are the very same ones struggling to run their own clubs and putting an extra burden such as this on them may make it a non starter. It would need a centre to lay out a system like this and then be bold enough to introduce it ! I'm not one to be negative but I can't see it myself although I would like to be proved wrong.- Jarvis Wins On Sherco Four Stroke.
Obviously the rider has some effect but I been saying all along since I had one 2 years ago - Having rode all the others, the Sherco 320 4T is the best 4 stroke 'Trials' motor out there at the moment bar none. In my very humble opinion of course I have had a raft of bikes and even with the starting problems of old, The 4T is still my favourite bike to ride of all time. Roll on 2008 so I can get another one- Euro Round One
Wow, excellent that The scores were incredibly high ! the sections must have been damn hard! Ross took second in the Youth- Trophies Or Not?
I aint bothered about trophies I got loads from my golf competition days. I just like the competition of beating other people whatever it is, whether its business, golf or trials. It is great to see the little ones go up and get their trophies though. Far better than getting one yourself I think. I just had a thought! What would be of interest though if it were possible, is to have a trials league in a centre so you could see how you faired against other riders in your centre, not just the part of the centre you ride in. I could then for instance, look where I was in that league and see if I should travel to another club and ride against someone who is higher up than me and get higher in the league myself (if I should beat them) Just an idea- Trophies Or Not?
Yeah, Spud told me about that too Dont listen to him OTF. I've been told ADAMant likes nothing better then to let it all hang out in a local public toilet is nick name.........your never guess........
