  1. check the small black and white earth wire from your cdi plug it might look ok but they can break just inside cdi plug. replace with larger wire.
  2. That noise is perfectly normal. just be carefull when adjusting the cluth lever . you must have approx5 to 8mm of free play or the fluid to return in to the master cylinder, if you take up all the freeplay to try to stop the dragging then the situation will become worse. A good remedy for clutch drag is Dexron iid ATF. gasgas uk also supply motul dii gearbox oil. Hope this helps.
  3. with the coolant top it up to the bottom of rad neck squeezing hoses as you do it then just run engine with rad cap off breifley and observe coolant returning via pump, stop motor and then let it settle and then top up coolant as neccesary. with the clutch get a syringe and back fill making sure any air bubbles are out of syringe prior to pushing through. hope this helps.
  4. no Atom i havent been reading any particular post that you might have put out ,its just that i come from a Speedway background and i have 3 young lads that ride Trials and obviously i can see the potential for the sport if handled correctly . It seems to me that if the sport is highlighted and youngsters are watching on TV then it could also bring new young blood into the game. Ican remember from my own point of view watching The world speedway final and seeing Ivan Mauger win ,it just took my imagination and i had to do it so started out on junior grasstrack after pestering my non motorcyclist father into submission for a crack at it. I showed a mate who didnt know a great deal about trials a WTC dvd the other week and he was in awe of what the boys are doing these days. Show that sort of thing to the right audience and it could encourage more kids to want to have a go.... ie more sales etc anything that becomes popular has spin offs for everyone.
  5. interesting points you raise, i think until someone can convince the mainstream tv companies to maybe televise perhaps the british champoinship rounds on a regular basis, real deal sponsorship will be hard to find. If a company wants to advertise itself then to attatch its name to high profile sporting personality for maximum exposure then that personality needs to be seen. I think also if the general motorcycle public got to see what trials is really about they would find it exciting enough to come to the bigger events to watch in the flesh, then you never know with enough people there the clubs might be able to charge for entry and the riders might get paid some prize money and maybe that would help to finance a crack at the world rounds. Just ask anyone from the public domain in their forties do you remember junior Kickstart and they will say oh yes that motorbike program that peter purves used to host that was great was"nt it. What Trials needs is a bernie ecclestone type person to bring it to the fore to get better recognition for the brilliant talent we have in this country and to show off their brilliant hard earned skills.
  6. What a fabulous result for the team in the junior wtc considering Alexz was on the 125 . Congratulations to you all. Roll on 2008 !

  10. superb results by the british lads , heres hoping they can repeat it again at Hawkstone.
  11. have a look into no toil air filter oil and the cleaner. its biodegradable oil which can be washed out with water in your sink . its really good oil that stops water ingress and all dirt and dust. i have been using it for about 10 months now and would not go back to conventional oils. just google no toil and have a look at the website. for supply over here look at racespec. hope this helps.
  12. knock up some araldite or superglue and feed in to scratch ,just enough to leave a slightly raised amount along the scratch. let it set long enough to go right off. then get some fine wet and dry and make sure its wet enough. work accross the repair back and forth slowly and keep checking for smoothness by wiping clean and run your finger over for feel. when level finally polish with solvol autosol. hope this helps.
  13. for beadbraking get the bead breaker from gasgas uk ad on their site. its so easy to break the beads with no damage to tyre or rim its untrue. my 8 year old daughter can break a dunlop off really easy with it.
  14. hi mate i have a dispatch hdi window version and pull a trailer with it and its great. i can easily get 2 inside. i know some people have got 3 in the van type . good fuel return on mine done 350 mile round trip last sunday with 3 on trailer and used just over a quarter of a tank.
  15. i think its a BPR 6EIX but check with sparkplugs.co.uk They have all references on the web site.
  16. pretty sure that they go outboard of the linkage plates which bolt 38 goes through on underside of swinging arm with top hat bushes in. As regards play 2 to 3 mm but should be as tight as poss.
  17. follow these instructions in the link. Trialspartsusa.com Marzocchi 2006
  18. its on the rubber seal 6004-2rs (rears)
  19. no the vernier is the measuring caliper have a gander in the pro handbook its all in there.
  20. check the clutch outer spring with vernier should be between 4.4mm and 4.5mm. if this is out of tolerence it will make clutch heavy.
  21. Yes go to the arena, get to south Moreton and follow sign for Aston Tirrold and the arena comes up on the left approx 0.25 mile from south Moreton. some big steps been put in recently by stu and the gang which should be good veiwing.
  22. started using no toil 4 weeeks ago on 3 125 pros and my personal opinion is i wont be going back other forms of filter oil. the oil is quite fumey when applying, but thats the alchol carrier in the oil. it goes off tacky after about 10 mins then refit filter. the cleaning side of it is absolute bliss, its so easy and clean you wont believe it, the filters come up like new afterwards. i would suggest getting a new filter to start off with it or make sure that you eradicate any old oil properley before going over to it. Hope this helps.
  23. Have a gander in Argos book nice black number in there for a fiver and its good quality with various pockets and big enough without being bulky.
  24. 350cc then run bike briefly let oil settle with wheels on the ground and check site glass and level wants to be about 3 quarters up the glass add a bit more if neccesary, that will do you just fine.
  25. we run 3 125 gasgas on dexron 11 with good results. AC Delco is good, any vauxhall dealer will sell it.
