    Clutch Tool?

like no1 said a good quality 7mm ring spanner is the man for the job.
  2. i hope you mean the bubble bath Cota and not the B......ry if you do i totaly disagree , well from from an ordinary persons point of view anyway!
  3. whats all this bubble bath mullarkey?.. my 3 lads unload bikes and kit wash off the worst, with pressure washer then into a cold bath full of ICE , remain until Blue and then Hot shower ,brings out the bruises you know!. Hard as buggery in the South you know!!!!!
  4. either buy a new rim tape and valve and fit dry with patience after putting dabs of silicone on nipple heads and leave toset or silicone the whole well including the rim tape and leave to set for a couple of days.
  5. what you need is nikwax lads ,its available at millets but cheaper on ebay. its the muts nuts and easy to apply.
  6. you could try contacting pat penfold through his focusonsport.co.uk website, he was there snapping away.
  7. if the chain is not long enough you might get away with putting a half link in as well which equates to 3 teeth on the sprocket. ie put your 9 and 48 sprockets on then get the wheel set up forward in the swing arm , put the chain on and see how much you need to fill in. dont forget also when you do this that the chain tensioner needs to be set approx 15mm off the swing arm with the chain fitted so allow for that. if you have 3 gaps left then a half link will suffice. these are available from your dealer. if the gap is any larger ie 5 links needed then scrounge around from someone who has cut a chain down and get a piece off them to fit, again your dealer might have a bit kicking around. failing all that then buy a longer chain with more links to fit. oil for the clutch everyone seems to have slightly diffrent amounts but if you keep adding the oil until it sits 3/4 the way up the level glass with the bike stood on both wheels you will be ok. its around 400ml to 450ml although gasgas say 550ml or cc in the handbook so its up to you what you do. like dabster says though talk to your dealer if your not sure about anything. hope some of this helps.
  8. if you have adjusted the float levels to the correct position then it could be that the needle jet is knackered. try a new one ..looks like a plumb bob that sits inbetween the floats which cuts off the supply of fuel into the bowl. 50.1 should be about right for fuel mixture.
  9. ime trying to sort out all this for my youngest lad who is 12 now and is 13 next year on 25th of feb. he is on an 80 now and what i need to know is he still on a 80 for next year or a 125 in the b class. also is what is in the acu handbook applicable to club events or just to national events. His date of Birth is 25/02/94 which i reckon according to the book he is able to be on a 80 or 125 this year but next year he will be only allowed a 80. ?????? HELP.
  10. do yourself a favour and get the kawasaki kill switch as they are better sealed from water ingress, check out at bvm website.
  11. Lewis is correct due to the clutch pack that can swell from time to time it can become heavy. you need to remove the clutch pack ie steels and fibre plates and hold them together tight in one hand and measure with a vernier caliper. the measurement should be 9.75 min and no more than 9.85 alterations are carried out by obtaining steel plates that come in 1.5, 1.4 and i think 1.3 what ever yours measures you can reduce if over size by swapping a steel plate with those mentioned to get back to the 9.75 tolerance.
  12. hi the oil you want is LHM mineral oil as used by citroen as previously described

    Beta Rev-80

check out the kickstart return qaudrant as they have a tendency to break on this model and can jam up the kickstart.
  14. yes Nash Mills is the ground by the Canal at Kings Langley.
  15. crikey i have 3 lads doing trials at schoolboy level all on gassers that need a lot of maintainence + travelling + entry fees also 3 ymsa licences etc. etc the last thing we need is a double in a acu license fee. Alright i should have kept the old fella under control and only had one lad but thats history now. surely the revenue raised by the acu and the trials idustry as a whole could arrange for a collective pot of dosh to help and promote the selected rising stars to realise their potential.
  16. yes we have a pilot 60 in ours but havent looked to see what the choke is. if you just send me a blank e mail through this site by clicking on pandelboy so i have your address and i will forward kev hipwells e. mail to you. mick.
  17. Hi Tobster yes the Pilot jet is the small one you described and perhaps when you have tried the new 50 in there can you let me know the result.By the way mine has a W7 needle with clip at the top.
  18. Hi Tobster (are you Toby by the way?) i have recently purchased a txt rookie 03 and had similar probs , so i e-mailed kev hipwell at gas gas for specs. I put the BPR5ES in and mixture screw set at 1.5 turns out and it has improved but we also have a 60 pilot jet in and Kev reckons it should be a 50 The needle clip according to Kev should be where you have yours set. OURS ALWAYS STARTED WELL BUT PLUG WAS VERY BLACK.

    Gas Gas 125

hi can anyone out there advise me as to wether there is supposed to be some play in the bearing that supports the lay shaft that comes through from the gearbox which supports the clutch basket. i am not talking about the two seperate needle bearings that the clutch basket sits on but the one that is inboard of the crancase webb which i would asume that is accessed from the gearbox.with the clutch pack all fitted on i can move the clutch up and down about 2mm and will make a slight clonk in doing so.with the clutch remove i can also get movement holding the end of the shaft is this normal or not.
