  1. There's nothing inside the middle box, it is purely two pressed steel halves welded together, I had mine repaired by a friend (they rot from the inside at the lowest point, from condensation) and then had it ceramic coated inside and out. Its a PITA to remove, so a better designed alloy one would be the way to go.

    If Aldi Did 4Rts

This is what I do, you can spray it (body filler alloy mess, halfords) black if you prefer. Cut it slightly bigger than the holes, mold it to the shape underneath and use electrical tape around the edges. Very cheap and neat and stops all the crap getting to the air filter.
  3. I read your write up on your test ride, sounds very good. I like the way they've done all the real time testing and rectified all the issues, before selling the bike to their customers (instead of testing by computer). If I could, I think I would buy one.
  4. Thanks, not a serious buyer (I've already got a new (old bike), but am interested in the bike, but when I searched, couldn't find any info about bikes in the uk, except what was on tc. I know DL is the importer, but nothing else.
  5. Just out of interest, I've looked online, no website, prices, contact etc, etc. Is it a case you have to be on facet#@t to find anything out, or am I not looking hard enough. If I was in the market for a new bike, (even though I love 4rt's, but Montesa and Honda uk, lately, really annoy me how pi$$ poor they do things) would seriously consider an ice hell. P.S. This isn't a dig at vertigo, just a simple Q. For prospective buyers.
  6. This the factory one, obviously it's a larger silencer, something just like this, but for the standard silencer would be great.
  7. None that I know of, you'll have to get one made like the factory bikes.

    "my" Rtls

Thanks. Made a prototype out of clay and then got a small bracket made (not how I wanted it ) to use a modified 4rt rear caliper, so it adjusts like the original. Forks and triple clamps are 4rt, hubs are talon.
  11. Tilt sensor sticking, although it would normally start, or not start. Was the engine running when it fell over.
  12. Me likely too, me wanty too, me can't have one too (Me no pics anymore )

    Rtl Oil Cooler

Hi Frank, Is it possible for you to show a photograph of the lower banjo and bolt, as it looks very tight for space between the oil cooler and frame.
  16. Remembrance Sunday isn't just about those who gave their life in the 1st and 2nd world wars, it's also about those who have lost their lives in all wars and conflicts since.
  17. Yep...... Awakes, to reality...... Would love one, wasted on me though. Also, already got another bank balance drainer on the go, which I'm hoping I'll finally get to ride very soon, can't wait, it's been a year now, since I started.
  18. I believe that's the new fuel pump, which the factory bikes have.
  19. The new vid on YouTube of Bou-San riding the new 300rr show a new cylinder/cam chain adjuster design. The bike he's riding in the video has the old head design on the 250/260 bikes. Wonder what else may have changed since the first showing?
  20. 289cc, not just bored out either: "The increase in displacement to 289cc has been achieved by increasing the diameter of the piston (from 78mm to 80mm) and of the stroke (increased by 3 mm). To make this change Montesa had to redesign the engine completely by using a new crankshaft-rod, cylinder and piston assembly. The use of these components made it necessary to modify the two semi-crankcases, mechanizing their surface to allow the mount of new components."
  21. If you go by Honda Uk's website, there aren't any 2016 bikes !!! (There are 3, 260, Race Rep and Race Ready) they all get the new fuel pump and mapping which gives more power at the bottom and mid range and less engine braking. Just about every other country had the price announced yonks ago, but here in Blighty, they're trying to work out how they can charge more than anywhere else, so it hasn't been announced yet. RR has new fuel pump (higher flow rate), new mapping (with dual map tb), even less engine braking (than the 2014/15 260's, new rear Showa shock, alloy tech forks, new billet alloy hubs, new style braking master cylinders (clutch and front bake), new footrest mounts that are lower and further back, new carbon header pipe shield and weighs 2kg less than a standard bike (the repsol's weigh more). Will be a great bike, I would really like one.
  22. I believe there the same as CB 200 ones, but contact Barnett clutches, they should be able to supply a replacement.
  23. Will be an exact replica of the original, if so I'd be interested.
  24. Barfy, I think there's only a difference in the width of the two seals in each piston, so you could put two thick ones in one piston and two thin ones in another, but I think you'd realise that by the time you had tried to fit all 4 Pistons. Is this on the rtl or 4rt? If you have the old style brake hose, change it for a new braided stainless one.
  25. Cost to make the bike is the same as a 250-300, its only the quality of the parts used that affect final price.
