  1. For the benefit of those not on Facebook. Another good ride out. The Wadi's (dry river beds) are great for practising.
  2. I've posted some photo's on the Trials Central Facebook webpage. Out again this Friday, with more riders........
  3. Most Hotels have bars and alcohol can be purchased from certain shops if you have a licence. Plenty of beautiful women off all nationalities. And only a few weeks ago it snowed in the mountains in the Emirate of Ras Al Kaimah.
  4. In the same way as Andy Murray is Scottish and not a Brit, by a Brit winning do you really mean someone English, like Dougie?
  5. What about some bike reviews on TC? Plenty of able bodied persons posting on here willing to provide an informed and impartial report.
  6. We after over a year I eventually managed to get out on a trials bike, although technically we had crossed the border and were riding in the neighbouring country of Oman and not UAE. However there were not border posts out in the mountains and so a passport has not needed. I was accompanied by Colin, more use to racing KTM quads and Chris, who has pretty much done most things on 2 wheels, except trials, his claim to fame is he has competed and finished the UAE Desert Challenge in every class, car, bike, quad, which he won and even truck. Chris had kindly lent me a Beta Rev 3 for the day. So Camel Baks ready, an essential bit of kit we set off. The mountainous terrain was a mixture of rocky climbs and dry wadis, river beds. The real beauty was the chance to ride unrestricted wherever you wanted. A truly great piece of land that would cater for all abilites of rider. However even in February the temperature was 37 oC and so you tend to ride early and finish before noon to avoid the real mid day heat. So after a good few hours on the bikes and no real dramas it was time to head off back to the comfort of the air conditioned pick up and set off back to Dubai. Hot and dusty, arms aching but above all content and looking forward to my next excursion.
  7. But not from his washing line....honest.
  8. With the credit crunch and the current uncertainty regarding work I have decided against shipping the 4RT out here for the time been. However, the good news is tomorrow Saturday I am borrowing a Beta and I'm off out to Hatta for a play in the mountains. The terrain there looks awesome and no one complains....
  9. Sorry Michael, but my moneys on Doug. Doug Browny Dibs Should be a great day out and hats off to the Scarborough Club.

As mentioned by ASC I can't help but think that Doug will be even better on a lighter 2 stroke 250 or 300 bike, but no the less still an awesome result. He must be raising a few eyebrows at the likes of KTM, BMW, Husaberg etc.

I also fancy Doug for the win.

Its about time the tax payer bailed out the construction industry in the UK. **** the banks they got us into this mess in the first place...
  13. I agree with Neils on wheels. The Magic Numner league table should be based upon the number of points scored overall. Whats the point in just replicating the 2008 WTC standings? and yep that bloke from Yorkshire should be on the top.

Firstly my postings on Enduro are even less popular than when I post about football....you would have thought with Doug Lampkin making waves in this disciplie that this forum would have become a little more popular? Anyway, this weekends Hell Gate Extreme Enduro has an all star line up including the aforementined Doug but also Jarvis, Sagar, Taddy, Chris Birch, Gerhard Forster. Funny no Knighter but it still looks to be a top event. Hells Gate
  15. Probably saw the Gas Gas and realised you were used to praying.
  16. Congratualtions to Doug, third on the night and sixth best in the World, not bad for a beginner. Madrid Indoor Enduro
  17. As this is a British Championship, Scarborough for that matter anywhere across the north of England would be fairly central for riders travelling from Scotland.
  18. I think the Bell End Farm sign made into onto the letters page of the Viz a few years back.
  19. The weather changes from Castleton to Rosedale so I wouldn't take too much notice of the view from Richmond.
  20. Read the comments at the bottom of the page, they are priceless.
  21. What and does R & D for Montesa as a hobby? Munch, I missed the Scott as well. As I've said many times its as good as a World Round.
