Just be law abiding citizens and pay the Import Duty.
Alternatively support the UK Economy and buy British and not from the US.

That she used the Falklands War to win the general election in 1983, yet gave up Hong Kong a British colony of 13 million.
''However, it is believed that with the renewed confidence gained from the victory, Margaret Thatcher suggested in her 1983 China visit an extension of the British rule of the New Territories in Hong Kong, which was to legally end in 1997 with the expiry of the 99-year lease (Beijing never actually recognized any of the 19th century treaties over Hong Kong).
She was famously rebuffed during a meeting with then Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping with comments such as "China is no Argentina," and "We can order troops into Hong Kong this afternoon." Formal discussions of British withdrawal from the territory started after this Beijing visit and Hong Kong was returned to China on July 1, 1997.
However, on the day of the handover of Hong Kong, former British Foreign Secretary Douglas Hurd remarked to Argentine Foreign Minister Guido di Tella; "I know what you're thinking, but you will never see this happen in Port Stanley."
I suppose what I am getting it is she is two faced but she was a politician and so it comes with the territory.
-
She wouldn't have sent them if she didn't have every confidence that they would retake the islands. Came a bit close up we achieved a great victory and she is remember for it, people tend to forgot she signed Hong Kong back to the Chinese though within a couple of years.
-
I don't think there would have been much left of Hong Kong if China had a nuked it.....
although your right, if the Argies had a been a more formidable opponent then we would be calling it the Islas Malvinas.
-
Wasn't it great when Thatcher went to war over the Falklands in 1982 but signed away Hong Kong two years later in 1984.

are the british public that interested in politics to really give a damn who runs or ruins the country.

Isn't the simple answer just not to negociate with the pirates. Who, due to the ransoms paid, have become equipped, better armed and more able to carry out more bigger and daring raised. A bit like throwing petrol at a fire to put it out.
While the use of lethal force, in Captain Phillips case, may have been the only option it will surely only escalate the situation.
An attack on the 'wasps nest' as Eyl is a possibility, but the US and the UN knows only too well how risky carrying out a military operation in Somalia is from their experience in Operation Restore Hope 1992 - 1994.

No pay rise this year but I am not going to go and complain. My last day was due to be today, but I've been lucky enough to be transfered to work with the project's design team and so my stay of execution extended to Sep 09 and then to be reviewed.
If you can survive this year then you are doing well.

Have you ever thought of joining the real world?

They also hold their value better than most and are second to none on build quality.

Lazenby now that always was a horrible, slimey trial but a great work out after spending the previous 2 weeks, Christmas & new Year, eating and drinking. I once helped Bill Curry and a few others set up some sections there and the ones I flagged I couldn't ride the next day....

I imagine the figures mentioned above include R & D.

I thought Woodhouse Farm was land used by the Middlesbrough Club?

2 of out 2 is as good a start as you can get. Great result.

If Raga does not go on to better his achievements to date then he is past his best.
Don't get me wrong he is still a more than capable rider and still the main rival to Bou.
-
Still a long way to go and one victory doesn't make a championship, but to answer your question. Yes Raga is past his best but he could prove me wrong by going on to win a further 2 outdoor and 4 indoor world titles but I some how doubt it.
If Raga does go on to win the championship then no doubt you will think he is the best trials rider ever.

You might not have noticed it, but a lot of topics get repeated on these forums, what's the best boots to buy? Where can I go practicising? etc etc etc. The rankings on Todotrial in general, are very interesting and a good topic worthy of further discussion, if there was no point in raising it why are you responding?
The rankings are not just about championship wins its about seconds, thirds, etc. But no matter which way you massage the statistics, E.g. WTC round winds, WTC points, you would still get Doug at the top.
-
The only reason I'm not going to Ireland is because of the restraining order......
-
According to rankings published on the Todotrial website, Doug Lampkin is the best trials rider in the history of the sport. The rankings are determined by number of WTC wins, second place, third etc.
It only really confirms what we all thought all along.

Bobby Moore. As he is the only one with a World Cup Winners medal, you should know that being a Hammers fan.
